Kat- How did your DIL and ds's appointment go the other day? If you have already answered, I am sorry.
Diane- Is your dd still doing okay? Does she have any pain from having her appendix out?
Everything looks good. It's definitely a boy! They pointed that out, though it plainly did not need any pointing out. LOL! Ds joked that he needed the king size room because, there was the doctor, ds, dil, his mil and me in the room. They said youngest ds could come in to, but he opted to wait outside. The due date is Aug 24 give or take.

Dd's doing great. She got out of the hospital this afternoon and was anxious to get back home. She won't be able to go back to work until at least Wednesday. Her incision hurts but not as much as her appendix did. :) She's glad it's done and over with and that everything turned out okay. Thanks for asking...

Glad to hear they are both doing well!
Diane, glad to hear she's doing better.
Are you as worried about them as I am? Dil is so young (just 18) and I saw a young couple at church this morning (both just 18) and when the baby became upset the mom clearly didn't seem to know what to do and became extremely upset with the baby. I said a quick prayer right then that dil have patience and wisdom.

it's funny..when I clicked on the quote button I could see that you said "just 18" but it shows up as 1 and a smily face so it looks like 10..thought, that can't be right! LOL
that is so young..do they seem like they are ready for parent hood?

I don't worry too much about dd not knowing what to do. I think that because I've done day care all of her life and she's watched/seen and also done so much to help me... she pretty much already knows how to handle certain situations, so I don't think she'd really panic. 8o That and she's 26... so I think being older/more mature will also help. I'm sure I'll probably be getting a few phone calls asking for advice/opinions... but isn't that what mom's/grandma's are for? LOL No matter how old/young they are or how much experience they've had with children... praying for them certainly can't hurt. I'm sure mine will be in many of mine. LOL
You must be getting so excited Kat... I still have 5 more months to wait... seems like an eternity. :) I can't wait... :happydnc:

OK, that's wierd. I know I typed 18.
No, they don't seem ready. It's not like they planned it either, but ready or not they are about to become parents.

Thanks. I'll try to remember that. I really thought I'd lost it. I know I make typos but there isn't even a smiley key on the keypad. LOL
