My son is turning 10 in July and we are having a camp out. We are pitching tents in the yard, building a bonfire which we will put logs around for seats, roast hotdogs, and marshmellows, make smores, sing campfire songs, We are making picture frames out of twigs and I will put a picture of each child in the frame as a take home gift, treat bags will be bandana's tied to the end of a stick, We are going on a scavenger hunt, a nature hike ( we live in the woods!!:) ) fishing in the pond, we'll tell spooky stories, and play flashlight tag, and mosquito bite game ( each child gets three round stickers, you have to try to secretly give away all of your stickers, but if you try to stick it on someone and they catch you, you have to take your sticker back PLUS one of theirs, who ever gets rid of all their stickers first wins!) The cake will be a tent with logs and a fire and i'll try to make sleeping bags out of fruit roll ups or something. Oh, we're also going to pan for gold!!:) ( fools gold of course!! :) ) In the morning we'll have donuts and juice. It's sure to be a great time!!
