Morning! Went to bed when dd did last night and I feel liike I've been out of it for a week! lol
Cloudy this a.m. but supposed to clear -- darn well better so this house can get painted!! arrrrrggghhhhhh The garden is a swamp, the flower beds are eroding away. If the rains don't stop, I'm trading in the car for a canoe.
Anyway - last week of school for dd, so fun days and pizza parties and popcorn parties. I'll be in the classroom all day today helping the teacher pack up, etc.
Hope ya'll have a good Monday!

Dks left yesterday at 4:30 to go to my sisters. After having 5 kids here for 2 days the house seems especially quiet now. LOL! I read a book last night and savored the time alone. Dh had a meeting and I was home alone for 3 hours! :yippee: Heading to the Y this morning to fill out paperwork and get things figured out there. Have a few errands to run after that and then I am racing back home ;) to enjoy the silence before my little brother arrives with my boys later this afternoon or early evening...? :)
Jenn - Hope the rain quits so you can get caught up outside! :\ Is your dd excited for school to be out?
Karla...you are alone?????? what was that like??
Jen..send the rain here!
DD starts theater camp today..1-4 till the end of June, then they are putting on Annie. She auditions today and I think we find out her part Wednesday (probably an orphan! LOL)
DS is taking violin lessons every other week to get caught up, so he has his this afternoon.
I've got laundry!
Morning all....two more weeks of school here....getting ds out the door this morning...then hitting the tredmill...then getting DD off to school.....
I talked with my nieghbor last night about the bus $$$$ she offered to take them in and bring them home, she works at our school....I said how much I appreciated that offer, told her I could bring them to school, especially since she has to be there so much earlier than the children.....she offered to bring them home....I took the offer...that saves me $440.00 next year....Fianlly a Happy moment about the school....
Two more weeks of work for me....4 day work weeks each week too...I am getting excited about my appointment on Wed. with the Dermatologist to get this skin tags removed....lasers...COOL...I can't wait.... Got our summer pretty well booked (summer, well the month of July) a couple of days in Santa Barbara with Grandma in July..... then off to Sea World....and then in Aug. Lego Land....parks and playdates are filling up our calendar too....
Wishing everyone a great Monday...and I agree WHERE IS THE SUN.....8) ?(
Welcome this Monday. Clear skies and rising temps. Thankfully the humidity is low so it's really very pleasant.
Took ds to a friends to get things set up for a paintball weekend. Supposed to pick him up at noon. He and dh are delivering a load of squash today then going out to eat & to see the movie 2Fast 2Furious.
I'll be going to a ladies' night out at a friends. It's "Beans, Greens, and Jeans" night. Should be a real "gas"! LOL I'm baking some jalapeno cornbread to take.
Well, I need to get off here and whip this house into shape while I have no one to clean around.

Well today is a grey and cloudy day!
No real plans...need to do some errands...been avoiding it because it's been raining.
Sounds like you all are having interesting days. Hope we all get some nice weather soon.
Have a great day!
It's cloudy and rainy here today as well!
I had a crazy weekend trying to get the house cleaned and ready for all the company we had arrive yesterday. Six in all! 8o We were back and forth to the airport a few times as people came in on 3 seperate flights. Don't know what the day holds, but I'm sure it will be fun as this is a really fun group of people. Dks are SO excited to have their grandparents here. Haven't seen them in a year. Aunts and Uncles are here too and haven't seen most of them in 3 years.
I'll probably be MIA for a week unless I can pop in if I ever get some down time!
Enjoy your family time :)

Good Afternoon all! Dh and I had a spontaneous trip to Jacksonville this weekend, and we are trying to get settled back into the routine. He has the late shift at work this week, so I guess he'll be getting ready to go soon. I have to work at the vets too. I plan on stopping to tan on my way back home. I am going to have the house to myself tonight, so maybe I will get some more cleaning done. I finished my kitchen, but now I need to do more rooms.
Have a great day all!
Jen, enjoy your time with your family. I can't even imagine not seeing mine all the time.

It is a beautiful day here. We are waiting for the baby to get up from nap so we can get to the pool for the first time this year. The water will be freezing I am sure!!
Have a great day everyone!

Do you have any ideas on what to do for an activity (art) with a group of toddlers. Our theme is under the ground...I would really appreciate it

Finally a spare moment to check in.
Thing continue to be busy here. My numbers are increasing all the time. I've hired my assistant director and still looking for a cook. I've had lots of positive comments about it all.
Dh and Dss # 1 & 2 are at Boy Scout Camp all week so I'm trying to catch up on my computer time.
The other kids had T-ball tonight. They finished their game just as it started to rain. We got home about the time pea size hail started. We ran in the house when it let up a little. We eventually went to the basement cause the kids were kind of scared. We got another dose of hail later. We were under tornado warnings for a couple hours I think. Luckily there was no damage in our area. I don't think any tornados passed close to us.
Today was dd #1's 8th birthday. I took off early and took her to get her ears pierced. She was so excited! I just hope she's old enough to take care of them.
Sounds like some of you have busy summers going already. It does seem strange to hear some of you talking about school not being out yet.
Hope all is going well!!
Linda, glad to hear things are going so well for you.
