Good sunny morning to you all...enjoy the sun today Jen8).
SIL's wedding went beautifully yesterday. Good time. Today we are heading out to an extended family reunion on my Dad's side...all his brothers and sisters and their kids and grandchildren. This happens every year, but we don't go every year. This year the venue has changed to a cousin's huge home and property, complete with indoor pool, so I'm expecting more cousins will come. Should be a good day.
Woke up about 7 but just stayed in bed vegging! LOL Not much on today, probably go to the pool.

We're off to ds's t-ball game this morning. I think my mom may come, too - so if she does we may do a little shopping together after that. :) Dh is golfing later this afternoon. I need to do laundry and wrap presents for my nephew's bday party tomorrow.

Well another dark rainy day here and Higs only 62 ...so much for the first day of summer....LOL
I had the worst nights sleep...My mind was running so I couldn't even think to go to sleep until about 4 am. That's what I get for talking to my Ex on line last night. He's gonna be in the area (about an hour away) next weekend and wants to get together. I may go just to tell him how I feel about how he's treated me. Kind of like a closure thing. Long Long story.
Nothing planned today...Hope you all enjoy your day.

Morning all! Another hot day here...hit +33C yesterday! Forcast for a severe storm this afternoon...it is already clouding up.
One more week of work! :yippee: I finished the inventory at one of my school libraries. No hope of getting finished in the other one....have a few more day to plug away at it though.
My niece is here for a couple of weeks from BC....can't believe how much she reminds me of my sister (her mom)! Having to get her settled into rules at our house....a little more strict than she is used to.
Hoping to convince dh to go out for supper tonight...if he is not out swathing hay...as it is our 17th anniversary today.
Have a great day all!
:)

dh fed the kids pancakes...we are thinking of heading out to Toys R Us for some playdoh.....going to take Max to the Groomers...he is stinky and too hairy....
going to be yucky here today...rainy but warm....very strange....
have a great Saturday all...
Up and at it early this morning. Made a big southern breakfast with sausage, bacon, bisuits and gravy. Then ds and I were off with the youth group to pick and deliver blackberries to the widows & widowers and to some people in the nursing homes. This year all the thornless berries were picked over so we had to pick in the thorny ones. It was kind of funny listening to everyone going, "ouch, ouch". Ds laughed at me a couple of times and asked it they were worth it. I think so. They were huge and so ripe. Then all the kid groups were given new lists of people to deliver to so they could get to know some other elderly members. I had vague ideas of where they lived and it was funny trying to find all the places with my direction impairment. But we got them all delivered and had a quart leftover.
I have a cobbler in the oven right now and can't wait to have some. It's smelling so good. I'll just need to go pick up some ice cream to go with it.
Dh is mowing and ds washing the boat. We plan on spending the afternoon tomorrow at the lake with dh's family.

We had dd recital today. I know I'm bias but she is a very good ballerina for 7. Tap that's another story. They had miraccas and tapping to much going on for the brain I think. But it was cute.
The we had The Feast of Corpus Christi at our parish this afternoon. Last singing of the chior for ds till September.
For all of you who live in the Northeast dh told me this little tidbit today. In the farmers almanac it says the year The Old Man of the Mountain falls there will only be 4 days of sun in the summer. Day number one for us and ......rain. Lets hope it's wrong.

We had dd's Open House yesterday (Saturday) and everything was perfect... the weather, the food... and the turn out. I couldn't BELIEVE how many people came! We actually had a traffic jam... LOL I'm glad I had made so much food... but I still had some left overs, so I sent some home with my mom so she could use them for lunches for my sister and her family, who are visiting from Washington.
Dd made well over $800.00... so she did very well. 8o 8o My future SIL bought her this awesome ring... her birthstone with two small diamonds on either side. She loved that too. Anyway... I'd say it was a huge success. We all had a lot of fun... but I'm SOOOOOOOOO glad it's all done and over with. No MORE OPEN HOUSES... EVER!!! :biglaugh: :yippee: :yippee:
Diane...
Glad you had a good time, Diane...what did you end up serving?
:happydnc: Great news that your Open house went so well Diane......yes what was on the menu? did you get to relax and enjoy?
