I think I dehydrated tonight....I've been drinking water for like 3 hour (which I never do). I almost dehydrate easi ly.
My question is do you have any suggestions on was to stay hydrated without drinking quiet so much? I feel sick because my stomach is so bloated. My father used to suggest salt tablets when I was younger. Does anyone know if that will help?
TIA
Do you drink regularly through out the day or just wait till you get thirsty? Do you drink alot of soft drinks..they have sodium which will dehydrate you. If your urine stays yellow, you aren't drinking enough. Your urine should be almost clear. I keep a glass by the sink and every time I pass by, I fill it up and drink out of it. I also keep a glass by the puter. Postassium can be hard on your heart and blood pressure, so I wouldn't take the salt pills.

I agree with what Ann said. Also, contact your doctor today if you can't get your thirst under control.

Thanks Gals....I know I haven't been drinking enough but I guess it affected me quicker. I have a bad habit of only drinking soda or coffee unless I'm dying of thirst.
I was thinking fruits and stuff might hydrat me but I'm affraid of what the sugars would do?
I think I'm gonna try to just drink water for the most part today....well except for my coffee right now...LOL.
DRINK MORE WATER...I am hooked on Sams Club bottled water....I buy it at Wal Mart....I drink at least two 20 oz. bottles a day....like Ann said...when ever you get a chance...by the time your urine is yellow....your way outta range....so START DRINKING! you can do this....its great for your body....

Sounds to me like you are trying to drink alot at once. If you're feeling bloated, try spacing it out. Here's one trick a friend did. She'd freeze her water in those see through water bottles. Then she left the bottle sit out where she worked at her desk. As it melted she'd drink it. It was a nice visual reminder sitting there and because it was melted frozen water, it was always nice and cold. And since it would be smaller amount at a time, it wouldn't make you feel bloated.

Great idea Lynda! This sounds like something I should do. I know I don't drink as much water as I should either. I'm not normally real big on water, but I think that if it was cold and sitting right there in front of me, I'd probably drink a lot more of it. :)
I hope you're doing much better Vea...

Thanks ...I'm feeling somewhat better.
I use to do that frozen water bottle thing when I went to school last summer...I have to start carrying water with me. I just can't get used to the taste.
If you don't really like water, try adding a squeeze of lemon to it, or even have herbal tea, either hot or iced-- it also counts as fluid, and will hydrate you, and many herbs, such as red raspberry leaf or peppermint have properties that are good for you too!
I drink about a gallon a day. I bring a quart bottle with me to work, and I fill it at least 3 or four times, and we have four water fountains in the plant as well, and everytime I pass by one I get the urge to get a drink.
A couple of years ago I went to my doctor because I was drinking so much-- excessive thirst can actually be a clue to something else- and he ran some tests, and everything came back normal, so I know it's just my activity level and the heat.

I am feeling alot better.....still really thirsty but I'm actually bring water with me when I go places...and I've cut down on my caffine intake.
I do add lemon to my water often...it really does help. I think I need to start buying bottled water because ours is so clorinaided at times you can even smell it...And people city water is better...yeah right...LOL.
My friend suggested propel water...does anyone know much about it?

I've had Propel water before. It had a nice taste to it. I think I had Black Cherry? The thing I liked best about it was the lid!
