Hurricane Claudette? It looks like it will come in east of us, but we are under a tropical storm warning, and will be on the "dirty" side so we will probably get rain.

I survived yesterday but by the end of the day I was SO tired! I went to bed about 8:45 and the alarm went off at 4:45. Got up with dh and got some laundry going. Still need to get a few dishes done. I did dishes 3 times yesterday and that includes a load in the dish washer! Seven kids sure go through a lot of dishes. I did have kids for breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks, so I guess it makes sense.

My regualr dck will be here at 7 then 2 more at 2:30. Have a late night tonight with the 2 late dck's staying until 7:30. Ds has his first soccer practice tonight at 7 so I guess I'll drop him off and come home to drop the dkc off with their dad and then go back to get ds. I hope that I know someone on his team. Wouldn't feel right leaving him with a bunch of strangers!

Paradise Hotel and For Love or Money 2 both are on. I'll be recording both. Can't wait to see what happens!

I haven't watched the news in so long that I didn't even know there was a hurricane out there! I sure don't miss those. We went through several hurricanes while we were in NC. What a mess!

ROFL! Jen, you were replying to my post while I was editing it.
Hurricanes don't scare me like tornadoes do..they are so random and truly most of the major damage done in a hurricane is from the tornadoes that they spawn. With a hurricane you get plenty of time to prepare. We are all kind of holding our breath here cause we are really "due" one..it's been 20 years since we had a bad one (not counting Allison which cause the huge flood)

Hurricanes just annoyed me! You watch the weather and it's coming straight for you and then people freak out and the store shelves are bare. Then it changes directions and nothing happens! Or it's supposed to not do much of anything and it lands right on top of you! When we lived in NC we had problems with the "F" hurricanes. Fran and Floyd both got us pretty good. There were several others that just casued a lot of rain and some flooding, but nothing too bad.

Never had a tornado experience. Just hurricanes, earthquakes and a typhoon.

Morning all,

Going to go to the library today and run to the mall for a bit.

Then it will be home to do housework and laundry. Also have to get outside and water my plants.

DS#3 has another ear infection, so it has been a long weekend he hardly slept and I finally took him in to the clinic yesterday. It seems that every time he starts to teeth he gets one. He has had a fever since Friday to, so he has not been his usuall cheerful self.

Ann-Hope the storms dont reach you-keep safe

Renee-Enjoy your day in the AC, I wish we could have weather like you. So far our highest this year has been about 76.

Jen-Glad you got theough yesterday, thats alot of dishes..LOL

Wow... I don't know how you can stand working all of the early/late hours you work... also on weekends? Yikes! I don't think I could handle that... I hope your day care parents appreciate all that you do for them... You're amazing!!

Enjoying the quiet around here. Getting my laundry room cleaned out. Good grief I am such a pack rat! Already have 2 garbabe bags full of junk to go out.

Dh is at the shop for awhile...then he said we would go out for supper!

Dark and rainy here today....good day to be getting my cleaning done!

DH is in NC for a class. I get to take the kids with me when we get the whole house inpection done on the current house that we are looking to buy. Other then that, I'll be cleaning and sorting. Hopefully we'll be moving in a month and a half again. Thankfully this should be the last one for years!

I'm a lazy turd today. I was clothes shopping this a.m. and decided to buy a new scale (haven't seen my weight in months) and that ended my shopping spree! ROFL I'm amazed at how far I let my delusions get the best of me when I didn't weigh myself. Here I was thinking dh was drying the clothes at too hot a setting!! LMAO I let myself gain another 5 lbs on TOP of my other 7 lbs of I already had to loose. grrrrr...... No more daily cupcakes for me for a loooong time.

Thank you! My parents do appreciate all I do for them, but none of the kids I watched yesterday were my dck. All of them normally go to the Child Development Center which is closed on the weekends, so they needed to find care. All of the parents were single military members or dual military members. They HAD to go to work. So the Air Force has a program where they pay for these peoples child care if they need care beyond their normal work week. Meaning if they need care on the weekend they will pay, but it has to with a home day care provider on base. I think 26 children needed care yesterday.

The kids staying late tonight are my regular dc and I will stay open late for regular dck if the parent has to work late. They only do this for one week every few months, so it's not too bad.
