What's your favorite music? Did it change after having kids? I won't listen to a lot of stuff I used to listen to because of some of the language and lyrics, but I do still like it. I like alternative music best, but also some dance music. I like Korn, Bush, Red Hot Chili Peppers, B52's and Will Smith. I got totally away from listening to the radio or cd's for a couple of years when ds was a baby...it was Barney tapes all the way! LOL!

Do you have any favorite songs right now? I love the one called "Thankyou" by Dido. And I love "Arms Wide Open" by Creed...you can hear a little heartbeat at the beginning...so sweet!

Let's see, I love Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, Black Crowes, Lynard Skynard, Sarah McLaughlin, Matchbox 20, Santana, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, oh I could go on and on and on.

Oldest dd is starting to appreciate better music, not just Britney Spears, lol!

Favorites would be
hall & oates, moody blues, billy joel, david bowie

Yes, I think I have changed my music listening. Now I just listen to whatever the kids have on.

Yes, I changed what I listen to since having kids...at least when they were little. Led Zepplin wasn't too kid friendly along with other general rock. 8o

Now that my oldest 2 are teens we have lots of music..which I love! Some of my favorites are Creed, Matchbox 20, Eric Clapton, Everclear...and of course I've become of fan of N'Sync - especially their acappella songs.
I also like Michael Crawford and listen to "On Eagles Wings" when I need a lift :) Oh, and Michael W Smith...the list just goes on!

I love 80's rock! I hated country then my dh got into listening to it all the time. I still don't prefer it but I have gotten to like some--mostly the upbeat stuff that has crossed over to the pop chart (Shania Twain, etc)

What was once called Rock is now referred to as Adult contemporary LOL--I like Michael Bolton and just lately have started listening to Barenaked ladies. Billy Joel and Elton John are favorites too.

I love alternative. I like all the groups you mentioned, plus I love Limp Bizkit. My son likes alternative too, I wonder why, LOL, but he's only 10 so I have to be careful what I'm exposing him to language wise as well. I am also a Lenny Kravitz freak and I have my son brainwashed that he's the King of Rock and Roll and not Elvis, LOL!

My favourite song(s) right now are Yellow by Cold Play and My Generation by Limp Bizkit (I know, I know...very bad language there, but I love the music :o)

Wow! What a variety, huh?

That's great that dd isn't only into Britney Spears, Kathy! (What is the big attraction to kids about her anyway?) I love Sarah McLaughlin's song in Toy Story 2! Get's me all choked up! LOL!

I like Hall and Oats, too, Chris. And have you ever seen Labyrinth with David Bowie? We like that one!

I used to listen to Led Zeppelin all the time! Here's a little trivia for ya, Rae...they're English, but never had a hit there. =(:-o) Can you believe that? Oh, and I love the Eric Clapton Unplugged cd! Do you have that one?

I have a hard time with country music, too, Linda! The Dixie Chicks have a catchy tune or two, though. There are a couple cross-overs that I can tolerate! ;)

I like Limp Biskit, too, Bev! Loved the MI2 theme by them. LOL about you convincing ds that Lenny Kravitz is the King! :)

Once in a while I enjoy listening to the oldies... especially the BEE GEE's... Rod Stewart. I grew up in a home with nothing but Polka and Country music... so that's what I listened to for years. My mom/dad still play (they met each other at a radio station) once in a while but for their/our ear's only. LOL I've never liked a lot of Rock, but for some reason have always enjoyed listening to Elton John... :)

Okay... I guess I SCREWED UP. LOL I must have sent it... I left the computer for a while, came back and forgot I had already submitted it and did it again. HOW DO YOU DELETE IT? Aren't we suppose to be able to if we screw up? Ugh!

I like a lot of 80's music and country, but usually kid music takes over here. We just got the "100 Songs for Kids" cds off of tv, so have been listening to those a lot. The kids love them! I love it when I go somewhere alone and I can turn *my* music LOUD in the car!! LOL!

They probably came out when you were in grade school/jr high. They did stuff before Saturday Night Fever...I forget the name of the album but I'm sure you'd recognize the songs...now I have to look it up as it will bug me! LOL

I have the Grease Soundtrack and Bat out of Hell. I like the 80's. The kids have the NOW 4 and NOW 5 collections and I like most of those songs too. My husband on the other hand is a super KISS fan and has all their cassettes, now he is working on collecting all the CDs. The kids are wanting the KISS CDs all the time, that sure makes their dad proud!
