View Full Version : Tuesday morning
Well, Spring break is finally over, and we are home and back into our regular programing. DS stayed home from school yesterday with a fever and sore throat....but by days end he was all better. He is at school now, dd is getting reacquainted with her toys, and my little horse/dog Max is sleeping by the door.....
Our weather was perfect the last few days 70 ish....now it looks like rain and thunder and lightning will follow so lets hope not. :crazyroll
trying to keep up on the laundry and get the house straighten....for what I am not sure...just feel the need.....
:happydnc: we did get great news, we are going on Vacation this year... a real vacation. on a plane and everything. I am taking my kids and dh home to California to see my family, and its been a long time....7 years for myself, and 9 yrs. for my dh, my children have never been and have never even seen their uncle, my darling brother, his wife and my two nephews....this will be a great vacation, and I am so excited, :happydnc: All I do is walk around with this silly grin on my face....
I have a lot to be thankful about these days....I'm still not smoking, and still maintaining/loosing weight....my kids are really happy little campers most of the time and I am married to a wonderful man. seems like good days are to few and far between lately so this day will be celebrated ...have a great one all....
Yea, Renee!!!!
Is this the trip to see your dad that you were worried about?
Yea about the weight and not smoking!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good for you Renee! Im looking forward to my trip to NY and Cape Cod too. I can't wait to see the ocean again!
Dd is sick again today. She was vomiting last night. Just wish I could get her healthy! I think we will go up to the Springs and do some food shopping.
Have a good day!

I'm so glad that everything seems to be going your way Renee... you sound SO happy!!! :yippee: I'm glad for you! :yippee: I'm sure you're really looking forward to your trip. Does your brother and his wife have any children, and if so I'm assuming that you've never seen them either?? I'm sure you will have a GREAT time...
Nothing too much going on around here today. The sun is shining today and it looks like the rest of the week AND the weekend is going to be nice too. :yippee: Seems like the week days are always so nice and when the weekends roll around we get nothing but rain... so it will finally be nice to have some good weather for the weekend! :)
I've got my darn relicensing today so I'm anxious to get that done and over with. It's not that I have anything to hide... but I'm generally a pretty private person when it comes to my home and my belongings... and I don't appreciate somebody coming in and snooping around my stuff. LOL If she wasn't here for that purpose it wouldn't be so bad but I know that she's LOOKING for something I'm not doing right... and I guess I find that a little bit irritating. I get in a mood like this each and every year I get relicensed and everything always goes well... but I've still got to gripe. LOL Sorry for going off. :) Anyway... Hope you all have a GREAT day!!!
Diane...
I love reading posts like yours where all is right with the world and people are happy. :D
Congrats on your not smoking and weight loss :yippee:
It sounds like you've got a good vacation planned and we are hoping to take a vacation this year where we can take a plane too...I just love to fly!

oh no!!! Are you following the BRAT diet with her?
Hope she feels better.
Amy-Sorry dd is sick, hope she feels better soon. Where are you going in NY? the Cape sounds great...I miss my ocean too, only its the Pacific....LOL
AnnW- Yes we were going to Calif. in June for my fathers 70th birthday, but we couldn't afford it and it all got so complicated.....then my wonderful "fairyGodmother" decided we needed to go to california, and that August would be just as good. so we could do the beach in Santa Barbara, thats were dh and I honeymooned too so that will be fun...10 years ago, wonder if things have changed... my father and his wife and my brother and his family will all join us for aweek at the beach and we will stay the first week at my godmothers to visit everyone else. I am so excited.
Oh Ann about the smoking I did cave last week and I had one, YUCK...glad thats over. How are you on that? tempted? We had been drinking and it was me and everyone else was smoking, well I caved and lit one and let me tell you, it was so gross I don't think I'll ever go back. DH laughted at me and said well "now you know your not a smoker"....guess he's right.
I am sure everything will go great!!! Just lock up the sexy undies and everything will be fine!!!!! :newwink:
I can just picture Diane running through her house and placing her unmentionables in a locked drawer....LOL... I'm sure it will be fine Diane. it will be over soon.
No, I haven't been tempted at all. The only time I had a strong urge was after my grandmother died when I went to the visitation..I would have killed for one! LOL
It was a year last February. I am having a hard time with the weight gain, and I am drinking a little bit more wine than I used to, so that bothers me.
I hear you, lighting it up was a misteak I beat myself up for almost daily, but I am getting better thinking about it as an oops...the anniversay of my mothers death is tommorrow 10 years and I drank too much and I well, got stupid....I thought smoking would dull some of the pain but all smoking will do is land me right there with my mother, to be blunt.
As for the wieght gain, I have been doing all these excersise for the syatic nerve and then having to walk Max, so I am still maintiaing the weight I lost and trying desperately to loose some more, it's sure not easy....those pills out there with Ephedra scare the pants off of me, and I have some in my cabinet, but am to affraid to use them (rather be 10 over weight then dead)...as for drinking, I loved having a drink and a smoke so drinking is out for me. I must say that your doing great a whole year and no cheating and NO temtation....Congradulations to you Queen.

RCT - So glad things are going so well! I love the feeling of not being able to wipe a smile off my face when all is well. Enjoy it!! :) Congrats on your weight loss and quitting smoking - what accomplishments!!! :)
Amy - Hope your dd is feeling better soon. :(
Diane - Good luck with your licensing today - let us know how it goes.
LOL about the vision of Diane hiding her unmentionables!!
We show our house again tonight. I shouldn't even be on the computer right now, but it has been driving me crazy and takes SO long to try to catch up at night if I am off all day!!! :( Quit posting so much gals!! LOL!

Too funny guy's... LOL :) Actually... she hardly LOOKED at anything in my house but was more concerned with my paper work like immunizations and Admissions Forms... What I didn't like was that she stayed for over 2 hours!!! Everything did go okay though and I'm SO glad it's all done and over with for another year. Now I can take all that sexy underwear back out of my locked drawer again... LOL :)

CONGRATULATIONS to you both... that's a great accomplishment! I wish my dd would quit smoking. She's SO picky about everything else she puts in her body but yet she's been smoking since she was l6. She keeps telling me she's going to quit and I never PUSH her (because then I know for a fact that she won't) about it because I know it's got to be her decision but... so far it just hasn't happened. I know "the want to" is there... but I notice that when she gets terribly stressed, especially with school and her clinicals... she'll start smoking again. Makes me wonder if it will ever happen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway. You both ought to be very proud of yourselves!!!

Thanks Diane!!!
Glad to hear the inspection went well!

Glad your re-licensing went well. My brother smoked for over 15 years (a pack a day) and he just recently quit. I think he participated in some study with the Mayo Clinic - some patches or something. They made him sick, so he quit using them and somehow he actually quit the smoking - something he said he'd "never" do. Hopefully your dd will quit soon, too. Like you said she has to want to.
