I bought some potted tulips this spring. I still have the bulbs potted in their soil. (The flowers have died away of course.) But when do I plant the bulbs in my garden for next spring? :butterfly

I think it's late fall (late Oct./early Nov.).

Depends on your weather. Here in AK it's pretty soon, but usually late fall before the snow starts falling.

Mid- to late fall, while the ground is still slightly warm.
Some people recommend digging them up after they have finished blooming in the spring but I have always left them in the ground all summer and they come up just as nice the next spring.

Jeannie, I went to webgarden.com ... did a search there for you. and then I gave up... geezzzzzzzz thats lots to learn about plants for sure (all kinds of plants)
but what I did get out of it was that :
1.) they need a freeze to bloom
2.) plant at least 6" deep
3.) there are more varities as there is kinds of candy
4.) depending on name of them they plant/bloom at different times.
5.) they grow any where from 18" to about 3' .....
6.) the colors sound neat

7.) I GIVE UP!!!!!! TOO MANY DIFFERENT ONES AND FROM DIFFERENT AREAS .... DANGGGGGGGGGGGGG and I am not really a plant person... lololol
:happydnc:

seeeee yaaaaaaa
