View Full Version : Prayers for SIL

My SIL (brother's wife) is delivering her baby boy today. She has been in the hospital for 3 weeks now due to a blood clot in her lung. She was moved last week to a hospital in another city that specializes in high risk pregnancies. Tuesday they took her off her blood thinning IV meds and inserted something in her leg to her lung in case of clotting during delivery. Today at 7 a.m. they gave her labour inducing drugs. I'm hoping she delivers without them needing to do a C-section. The baby is very small even though she's almost full term (maybe just over 5 pounds). I haven't talked much about this SIL and her pregnancy but that's because this baby is not my brother's. He's been so good and their marriage has been getting back on track and he is looking forward to supporting her and this new baby (they already have an almost 6 year old). I just want everything to go well...she's been wanting another baby for so long, but she was wanting a girl.

I will keep them in my thoughts that everything works out today.
It takes more than sperm to be a daddy, sounds like your brother will be a fantastic one.

Bev, it sounds like your brother is going to be a fantastic daddy to this little baby boy.

Marla...just found out late this afternoon; she had her baby boy at 4:37 yesterday. 6 pounds. All is well with mom and baby. I think they are naming him Jayden Kyle. I keep forgetting the name. I don't think the name is set in stone yet, but I'm going to try getting a hold of my brother later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Bev, great news. I'm glad things went well. Love the name. Wonder if I could talk ds into changing the name of their baby to Jayden. They are planning on naming him Braden Lee. Not sure if that's how they are spelling it though.

I'm glad you like the name...I wasn't sure about it at first, but it's growing on me. I kept forgetting what it was, lol. SIL and the baby are coming home later today.
