and today is my oldest son's 11 birthday :bdaycake:
I can't believe that he is already 11 years old. It seems like just yesterday....okay I'll stop reminiscing now ;)
A beautiful sunny day today, and I'm not working :yippee:
I've really been trying to exercise on a regular basis, so I'm gonna hop on the treadmill, and then move on to my pilates workout.
Powerskating for both kids tonight, and other than that ??????
Hope you have a good day everyone

Morning all. Kids are off to school and I am headed that way soon. It has really cooled down here, but I refuse to wear socks yet! It is only cold getting to school, then the school itself is warm.
Are any of you other Canadians watching Cdn Idol? Dd and I are hooked and looking forward to seeing who wins tonight. Better be Ryan!
Happy Birthday to your ds Marla!
Have a good day all.
:)
Happy birthday to your ds, Marla!!
DS has a football game today, DH is playing in a charity golf tournament, I am doing laundry.

I watched it once, but couldn't get into it. It is attracting millions of viewers though
Schoolwork for dd's and a bit of housework and laundry just to keep up. Dh is staying in town tonight so I may spend the evening doing absolutely nothing. Sounds pretty good right now. :) I've not had enough of doing nothing for my taste lately so it should be rather nice.
I really need to ask fil to recommend a good spot for kite flying so the kids can use the kites sil sent them. Maybe the wind will be good this afternoon and we can head out to do that.
The girls are sending out invitations today for an apple-themed dinner. We're starting a unit on Johnny Appleseed/apples and the dinner is one of the things we're doing to wrap up the unit. They're pretty excited about that.
Marla, happy 11th to your ds!
Darlene, please send some of your cold my way! ;)
Ann, is this your ds's first game, or did I miss that?
Good morning! Work, dinner at Dad's, volunteer shift, lol.
Managed to get groceries last night so have actually made my lunch today :D
Darlene, I have refused to wear socks yet too, but that's cause I don't want to cover up the cool 8) pedicures I've been getting.
Oops, forgot to wish Marla's 11 year old a very happy birthday!!!:bday:
Pam, yes, his first game, but he doesn't think he will get to play. He is 2nd string and he said that the other boys "are really big"! LOL
Ann, just remind him of the old "the bigger they are the harder they fall" adage! Good luck to your ds and his team tonight. :)

Ann, how exciting for your son...the first game. Good luck :thumb:
I too refuse to wear socks yet. If I have my way, I'll be barefoot right through the winter :newwink:
Was my early gym morning today with the competitive girls and just got home from doing a class with 6 preschoolers, they are such a good group, was lots of fun.
It's very cold here this morning, they are predicting snow for us tonight, but I too refuse to put socks on yet!
Not much planned for the rest of the day other than some housecleaning, then such snuggle up with a blankie and watch some t.v. tonight. Tuesday better be a good t.v. as this is my one night that I get to come home early and even get to have supper at a decent time.
Happy Birthday to your ds Marla
Good luck to your ds AnnW - hope he gets to play

It was raining this morning so I drove the kids to the bus stop and we waited... and waited... and waited... until I knew that the bus was never going to make it to school on time so I drove them down there. Met a few parents in the hallway and said my hello's and explained to some that was wasn't going to be as active in the PTA because I have to take twice as many credits in school as I thought. I had a pleasant time visiting, and the kids had time to grab something off the breakfast cart before they went to class. I don't know what became of the school bus though. ?(
I met a friend for coffee. (The single mother of twins who's studying to be a linguist.) She'd just had her hair colored champagne blonde. It looked good on her because she had the coloring for it. Another mom, who's studying for her masters this year, joined us and we had a fun time talking about her history thesis.
Then I ran off and do a whole load of errands:
Mailed a package
Registered the kids for Boys and Girls Club
Went to the bank and got 10 rolls of nickels for dd's birthday party at the arcade. (She'll be 10 tomorrow. 8o She was what 3 or 4 when I started posting here. Unbelievable! 8o )
Got to go to work now. Have a great day. 8)

Not much planned today... I got woken up by my sister coming to visit today.
Did some straightening and preperation for this possible hurricane...LOL. We usually get hit if it bounces back out to sea.
Just relaxing today. My back is killing me.
Well hope you all have a great day.
Major stress at work this week. New principal. I think she's really going to be good, but we've had 10 years of a man who did absolutely nothing. She's got 10 years of chaos she's trying to fix in 10 days. Staff meeting this am that went way over, kids out of sync, surprise fire drill (we haven't even discussed what one is yet), an afternoon committee meeting, trying to get computer problems worked out so my progress reports can be done with gradequick which I still don't have working on mine yet. Just one of those days when you're all sweet on the outside but inside you are screaming at the top of your lungs.
Came home, fixed dinner then went to see the baby. Spent 2 hours over there while dil fixed dinner, she even got to sit down and enjoy it. Bless her heart her lunch was still on the table. Seems Braeden was a little fussy today.
Keep him in your prayers tomorrow. He has an appt. at children's hospital. He has a hernia and looks like they will be doing surgery. I'll know more tomorrow.
I need to finish up some laundry and make lunches before going on to bed.
