Sorry to make a pest out of myself about these darn games and dd's baby shower... but dd's need help with one of the games were playing. It's called "Taste Test Baby Food Game". You cover the labels of several jars of babyfood with numbered lables. Each person has to taste a sample and on a piece of paper write the number from the bottle and what she thinks it is. The one with the most correct guess wins.

Sounds simple enough but... what would you hand out for the guests to use TO sample the babyfood? We want it to be sanitary... we don't want to just stick a spoon in it and pass it around :\ nor can we just give them each a spoon of their own to dip... so, any idea's what could be used so that each time a guest takes a taste... they're not sticking in the same "whatever" in the jar to taste it? We'd really appreciate your idea's. TIA...

Diane...

I would either do enough spoons for each person for each jar....or..

Spoon out some onto a plate for each person. this may get hard if the flavors get mixed though.

Good luck! Sounds like a fun shower.

I've known people to use toothpicks. You wouldn't get a lot to taste that way, but you should be able to get enough and toothpicks are really cheap! :)

I wonder if you could get those little ice cream sample spoons like they use at Baskin Robbins? That way everyone could have one spoon per jar. Popscicle sticks would work, too.

Popsicle sticks or plastic spoons...Give everyone enough that they can use one per jar....SO if you have 5 jars of food they get 5 spoons..etc......

How about breaking up saltines and having everyone dip into the jar.

You can purchase the wooden ice-cream spoons that they give with those mini-sundaes.

You might also talk to Baskin Robbins about purchasing the little taster spoons they use

As a kdg. teacher I've done my share of begging. I bet they would be more than happy to give or even sell for a few pennies the taster spoons.

Good luck

I like the individual mini spoon suggestions...just tell the guests they may only dip there spoon each jar ONCE (so there's no double dipping, lol).
