Morning! DS got to play yesterday, 3 downs, and on the first down he played, the block he made allowed the running back to score! He was so pleased, and said the coach even commented!
I have tons of laundry to do today. We are going to the Astro's tomorrow and it's a day game, so I've got to get it all done today.

Another cool day today. I can't believe how the weather did such of a turn about. For a whole month it was so hot/humid you could hardly stand it and suddenly it's so darn cold you almost have to turn the heat on to stay warm. I like this kind of weather though... it's a nice change. I sat outside this morning with a nice cup of hot chocolate and watched some squirrels chasing each other up/down the tree. It was so fun watching them play. LOL Then they noticed the cat and started chattering at her... then it was time to go in. 8o

As soon as the last parent drops their kids off I've got to run down to Target to buy some more formula for the baby. I just knew I was forgetting something last night when I was at Wal Mart... just couldn't remember, until this morning. Ugh! You'd think I'd learn to write a list... I always think I'll remember. LOL

Nothing much of anything else going on. I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening at home tonight. Dd #2 graduates from college on Thursday... were excited for her. She'll be moving out in about a month. Even though she's plenty old enough to do so... I'm sure I'll still miss her. I'm also anxious for another room to be empty... I'm kind of hoping to turn it into a joint guest bedroom/sewing room. I just bought a new sewing machine last week and am anxious to try it out. I'm going to try to make a quilt for dd's baby... 8o I've never made anything like this before so I'm not even telling her that I'm doing this... just in case it doesn't turn out. :blush: Who knows... I might surprise myself. LOL

WooHoo!! Awesome news, Ann!! Does he come home feeling sore and beat up?

No school again today (or tomorrow) and if I don't get dd out of here or at least some company over here, you'll be hearing about some hurricane homicide going on! LOL She's driving me nuts.
She does have dance this evening and our hot water is back, so I shouldn't complain.

The laundry is taunting me too, so I guess I have no excuse but to do it.

Jen, he came home with bruises on his arm that looked just like hand prints! LOL He hasn't complained too badly.

Ann- yikes about those bruises! Is he doing weight training too? If so, I bet he'll look like a different guy by Christmas. :)

Dd's got a girlfriend over for the day and her buddy down the street is home, so I may go from my nutty girl to 3!! lol

Heard school days are going to be extended 30 mins. a day for the month of October to help make up this time off. (whenever we go back) That will make up 2 days; we're missing 4 so far, so we may be extending our days through the holidays. There are 22 schools still w/out power and power lines are in still on the roads, and the school's food service center lost all it's food, so they're in pretty bad shape.

To make matters worse, a tornado came through last night and took out more trees and knocked out power; some power that had just gotten turned back on.

Yesterday when I said that mom wasn't here yet, well she never showed up! I called her and I had the wrong date! :rolleyes: So I was up early for no reason! I was so tired that I went to bed at 9 last night. Woke up at 12:30 with a pain in my toe. It's all red and puffy. I don't think it's an ingrown toenail, but it hurts! I made an appt this morning just to have it looked at. I have a ton of dck's for the rest of the week and didn't want to call out sick or take them all with me. So the baby and I are headed out to the dr here in a few minutes. Wish me luck!

No plans for tonight except for TV and some laundry.

Ann- How exciting for ds (and for you and dh).

Jen- what more can happen to your state? Hope the girls are good for you today.

Have DCK's and I woke up with a horrible headache and a cold. My throat is sore and I am all stuffed up.

Busy day today too. I have to run to the bank and make a deposit, go to Zellers and get some fabric softener. Also have to pop into the grocery store and get some bacon.

DS#2 starts hockey today and has to be there at 3:30, so we will all be going and sitting at teh arena.

Other than that just laundry and general tidy up. The sun is out but it is cold today when I got up this morning it was -1.4C BBRRR
DS'S wore their winter coats to school...

Time sure flies...He is starting to stand on his own without holding onto anything now...


Hard to believe that next month we will be celebratig his 1st birthday.....

What's on TV tonight? I can't keep the nights straight - does ED come back this week? I can't wait to see it!
The girls are okay - but y'know how 3 girls get..... one said she wanted to go home before lunch; but things are fine now.
What else can happen here? Hum... fire? flood? Oh no - that's happened within this storm too!! LOL

Jen- Ed is on tomorrow night. It's the season Premiere. If you meant to ask about ER, that starts this week too.

Tonight is Paradise Hotel night for me. I think Frasier starts tonight too, but I don't watch it. Newlyweds is another show I'll be watching tonight. Don't know what else is on.

There is nothing wrong with my toe... or so the dr says. She said maybe I hit in on something. ?( Hello??? I was sleeping and woke up with throbbing pain and a red swollen toe! I took some tylenol and the pain isn't as bad. She said to keep an eye on it and come back if it gets worse. She did say it was red and swollen but there was nothing wrong with it and couldn't figure out why it hurt. I felt stupid and like I wasted her time and mine, but I just wanted to know what was wrong with my toe. Oh well!

Thanks for the TV update - it was Ed I was wondering about. I quit watching ER a year or so ago, it's just old to me now.
I don't know what I'll end up watching tonight.....
