6:45am Sunday morning and I can't sleep. I have been awake since shortly after 4:00.
ds fell at hockey practice and sprained his wrist - not bad just a little tender. The Dr. gave him a couple of pain killers to get through the first couple of nights, but he said it didn't hurt much so didn't take them.
the girls enjoyed the birthday party, it was Strawberry Shortcake themed.
Not too much exciting happening today -
Happy Sunday everyone!
Morning! Slept till 8:45!!!! It is gorgeous here today. Not sure what to do, but feel like it should be something outside. DH is going to the Texans game, ds will be home around noon.
Morning all, Had a great day with my God parents yesterday, all got into the pool, had a blast, I even got a suntan....
had a nice lunch and great conversation....got my godmother to sing and play the Uklelailai (sp) Kids were laughing and dancing, DH had never experienced the old folk songs, it was a riot....Got home around 6, grabbed some take out and watched "Agent Cody Banks' with Ds dd fell asleep in a pile of Barbies....too cute...
Dh and I watched Anger Management when the kids were asleep....it was pretty good....laughed a little out loud
Planning on hitting the Halloween Store today...and just putter around....wash cars....dh and I are switching vehicles since he takes the kids to and from school....he really should have the van and I will take the truck...

Slept in until 8:00... then Dh and I went out for breakfast by ourselves. Felt good. Cold and windy today. Were putting the pool down for the winter... and before all of the leaves start falling off the trees and into the pool. :) Hopefully take the rest of the day and just relax. Hope you all have a good day today!
Diane...

Puttering around here, getting ready to be hammered by "hurrican juan". It is getting really windy and dark.
Yesterday was the last horse show of the season, both dds did well, dd2 got two firsts, so she was thrilled. She rode in the costume class on a horse named "Magic" so I made her a "magician" costume and she and Magic came first out of 11!
Dd2 got one first and two fourths (out of 14!) and considering she was riding against 18 year olds she did very, very well.
Trying to get some housework done instead of saving it all for Monday morning!

Kathy - good luck getting through Juan!!
Congrats to Magic and your dd!! How exciting and very cute w/the costume!!
I'm being lazy but have dh doing chores for me today. lol
We're off to exchange the blind I got dd, think it's defective.
Got in the car this afternoon and it stunk to high heaven - "oh yeah, my brother spilt coffee in the backseat yesterday" dh says.
"Why didn't you clean it up?" I say. "I dunno" dh says. Grrrrr
So, he's cleaning the carpets in the car now. :p

Ended up going to a pumpkin patch/apple orchard yesterday and then went to my mom's from there. The couple we were going to go out with had a sick dd, so we went out to eat with my mom, dks and my neice and nephews. Mom took the kids home and dh and I went out for a drink. :) Hit the Gap outlet with my mom today and found lots for ME. :D Ran a few errands when we got back today and now I need to unpack and put new things away.
Kathy - Congrats to your dds!
KathyT..WTG for your girls!!!!!

Ann, how'd your ds do with his raft?
Did your dd enjoy, Six Flags, was it?
Karla - sounds like a fun weekend! We haven't been apple picking in about 3 years, I may see if dh would like to go.
I'm tired. I went to be last night saying to dh, "I think I could take another one of these - the baby." Got up this morning with a little different attitude. Bath time was great. Lathered him up with lavender lotion which made me feel all soothed and ready for be. Put him down at 10:00. I had to get up at 12:00 to get benedryl for an itch that was driving me crazy. I knew it was a mistake cause when the baby woke up at 2:30 very hungry I was very sleepy. I felt like a drunk. Back to bed easily. Up again at 5:30 with a messy diaper and about an once of fomula and right back to sleep. Up again at 6:30. Dh had gone fishing so I put him in bed with me and we stayed and coooed to each other til 7:45. The he was so good as he watched me get dressed, make the beds, fix breakfast and clean the kitchen. That's when mom & dad came to take him away. We all went to church together and then back home for Sunday dinner with my parents and the kids.
Took a sleeping pill about 10 minutes ago so I'd sleep today without worrying and it's about to take effect. I need to get going.

I've missed you all!
Just drained from my first week at school. Decided to drop the one credit, Chemistry group study class so I'd have time to do my algebra. I don't remember ever having to turn in this much book homework in my classes before. I don't know How I can be expected to study!
So far my chemistry class seems OK. My lab partner seems easy enough to get along with. My math teacher is annoying but he'll do. And my Cultural Anthropology class is dull, dull, dull so far. The text for the class is Patterns of Culture by Ruth Benedict which I read in Jr. High! Don't get me wrong, I liked the book but so far I haven't come accross anything enlightening. ...too much structure in these classes this year for my taste.

Thanks for all the congrats you guys, what a supportive bunch! :D
Ann, Magic's registered name is "Touch the Illusion" so "Magic" is a great barn name, don't you think??
Welcome back Jeannie! Hope your class gets a little more interesting.
Kathy, great name! DS named the dog Magic, for the "Magic of Christmas"
DS hated the trip! LOL said the raft was too slow, they ended up taking the inner tubes off and just tubing down the river. They also didn't bring enough food (each patrol is responsible for their own meals) so he was hungry! LOL
DD had a blast!!
