In a funk today, humidity is back to 100%, ds is being a teenager and I am tired! LOL I may just slug it today. DS has football this evening, and that is about it.

Go back to bed, Ann! Let dh deal with ds (at least he won't be home until almost 6!) and I'm sure dd can fend for herself. LOL Hang in there and stay in the A/C.

Not much here today - laundry, yard work, ran at the park this morning. The hurricane did so much damage, I got disoriented while running and made a wrong turn, twice! It doesn't look like the same place at all.

Ann, go do something just for you today....like shopping ;) (at least it's cool in the mall right ???? )

Jen, sorry to hear that the hurricaine did so much damage....do they have the parks people cleaning things up?

A beautiful crisp fall day today; sunny and cool.

No plans today...thinking about cleaning about the garage, but not sure I really feel like doing it (maybe I should save it for dh next weekend :brow: )

Happy Monday

One of my dck's os back today after 6 weeks of vacation. I was a little worried about how he was going to do (he's 18 mo old) but he's doing great! I missed him so much and I'm so glad to have him back. I have him and my little baby all day and then 2 this afternoon for just a little bit. I have an inspection this morning and I'm hoping someone calls soon to tell me when they are delivering my dryer.

No plans for after work, probably just cleaning the bathrooms and doing laundry. Nothing too exciting.

Marla, no one is cleaning the parks yet. They just now are getting to the debris lining the streets that people have dragged and piled up - these piles line the streets and some are twice my height! I ran yesterday afternoon while dh and dd napped. Afterward, I shopped a bit w/out telling dh..... well, after a while, they got worried a tree had fallen on me and went to the park to find me.

PS - good plan on saving the garage for your dh! :newwink:

I was sick as a dog yesterday. Not really sure what it was. I thought it seemed like a sinus headache but it progressed through the day to real misery. So when I felt a little weak and queasy this morning, I decided to stay home. It has been really busy around here....kind of feels nice to have nothing scheduled.

Ann- I'm beginning to understand that the teenage thing is a bit different for boys than girls. I'm lost!!!!
Jen- I hope things are settling down and will return to some level of normal soon.
Marla- Clean the garage. Then you'll be too tired to cook dinner and you can be taken out. ;)
Bev- Good luck with the dental appt. Yuck!! I really hate those. I think the worst part is sitting in the waiting room listening to the machinery.8o
JAK-Yahoo on the new dryer. I like other people's babies, but I'm not sure I could handle daycare with infants.:crazyroll

Sorry to hear you were feeling so bad - hope you'll feel better as the day goes on.

Marla! Take this woman's advice!!
I did it backwards today - I made dinner THEN raked the front beds, MOWED THE GRASS (I must have been body snatched) and am doing laundry at the same time..... I must be ill too.

Might be a good idea for you to be taken out for the rest of the week!! Do you think the storm shook you up?? Maybe some bed rest and a nice cool drink will have you not making the rest of us (meaning mainly ME) look so bad.:{ ;)

Had a crazy and busy wknd and today was more of the same. Went to the Y this morning, had lunch with oldest ds, ran errands, ran to my mom's to get youngest ds and then back here to pick up oldest ds. Heading back in to the Y tonight for a few hours.

Found out this morning there was a riot here this wknd. :\ Need to catch the news later to get more of the scoop. We were out with friends that night and had no clue what was going on. Also, got a call from my mom yesterday that my little brother rolled their Explorer down into a gravel pit and walked away from it with air bag burns and a cut on his head. I saw the vehicle and accident site....God was definitely looking out for him.

Hi all. Well summer is doing one last dance around here. We hit record lows last Tuesday night, and now we are record highs with it being +27C here today! Spent most of the weekend getting the yard cleaned up, windows washed, new bedding in the cat/dog house.
Wish I could have played hookey from school today and just enjoyed the weather! Could have phoned in sick and not even been fibbing! This antibiotic I am on is horrid on my stomache...only 2 1/2 more days to take it!

Someone dumped a kitten by our place yesterday, and it has now decided that we are home! Called the animal control officer, but they don't do anything because we live in the country...they only service the city! I am hoping we can find it a home before too long.

:)

I'm still sore from my friend's move this weekend. I had a math test this morning and I only got 5 hours sleep last night because I was too keyed up. I think I did all right. Unfortunately, to get into nursing school "alright" isn't good enough. I just taked to someone who had to wait nine years to get in to nursing school. (Just to get in.)

I think I'm depressed today too.

Sorry guys...just feeling kind of beat up today.

Lack of sleep and being sore probably has nothing to do with it either. ;) (((Jeannie))) Hope tomorrow's a better day! :D

No one called first thing this morning about my dryer so I called them. The lady who schedules all the appts had no clue what I was talking about so she got some info from me and said she'd call me back. So 7 hours later I call her back to see if she's figured out anything yet... "uuuuuuummmmmmm well, can you hold on a minute?" After a few minutes she gets back on the phone to tell me that the paperwork has been submitted but hasn't been approved and she might know more tomorrow. I know what that means... maybe in a month I'll get some the new dryer. I ended up asking the lady if they could just come pick up this broken dryer and I'd just use the dryer that I own. So tomorrow they are coming to get the broken one and dh will move ours in the house sometime this week.

(((Ronda & Jeannie))) Sorry you're feeling depressed today.

Ronda hope you and your dh find the jobs you need. I'll remember you in my prayers.

Another long day today. I really didn't feel like going to work. My kids didn't have school since the teachers went on a retreat. It's really hard to get out the door knowing they are all sleeping. I miss the days of staying home, but I don't want to quit my business.

We're talking about fire safety. The kids were wound up today but I think we practiced the fire drill well enough that the kids know what to do and where are meeting place is.

The weather has been pretty warm and is supposed to continue all week. At least the kids won't be complaining about having to wear jackets and shoes outside.

Hope you all are doing well. Have a good night and good tomorrow.!
