Any one reading his new book or watching the show on Monday's when he has his 13 participants on?

Seems like he's got a good plan going on. I wonder if it will work for them. The one guy already lost 26 pounds and I think it was in a very short period of time (maybe a week).

There is no way someone could loose 26 lbs. in a week! LOL
Didn't they get together over the summer and "learn" the program, go back home and then were brought back together for that show?
Who am I to say? LOL The only one I watched was last Monday's when my sister was in the audience!

I'm rarely home in time to watch Dr. Phil

26 pounds in a week doesn't sound realistic.

The guy in question weights over 300 pounds to begin with.

Could you lose that much if you were to start drinking water and it was water weight? I could have been over a week, I'm not sure. The plan is not a diet and doesn't require you to eat or not eat things. It's a change in your life style and your way of thinking.

I'm interested in how these people do for the next 9 months and who actually sticks with it.

I bought the book but haven't read it all yet. I've seen some of his vitamins and "power bars" at the grocery store.l I can't wait to see everyone in the spring.

I have caught a few ending of this show. I hope to catch replay later....

Really love the Dr. Phil Family. that is blowing me away, fifteen year old daughter is pregnant, husband and wife aren't real with each other, and the thriteen year old daughter is realitively normal, so far.....this is a real WOW show.

I haven't kept up with Dr. Phil or his show, but didn't he start people out with just a three week program?

Seems to me that it's much more realistic to set small goal after small then to say you're going to lose 50 pounds.

Think about it...if you were to sent a daily goal...or a weekly one, don't you think you could stick it out better than if you said you were going to do something for the next 12 months.

Baby steps.

IMHO... as wonderful as it might sound, I can't imagine anyone loosing that much weight in one week... and if they have 8o I have to ask myself how healthy is it TO loose that much weight in one week.

Years ago when I decided to loose my weight... I looked at it as a long term goal. When I looked at it as a weekly goal... I'd get that far, feel satisfied that I had made my goal and quit, but that was me. LOL

I love watching Dr. Phil (I record it because it doesn't come on at a good time for me) and look forward to watching the progress these people make. It will be interesting to see who/how many make it!

I can't believe how "normal" the family seems on the outside, but just how screwed up they really are... I guess it's a lot like all of us. Thank God my family is not that screwed up though. Just have a screwed up few on the branches of our family tree. Today looks like it's going to be a VERY good episode on they family.

This weekend I watched the one that was on last Monday and they said he'd lost 29 pounds of fat in 3 weeks.
