I was just wondering if you got to do anytbing special for your birthday? Did anybody bake you a :bdaycake: ? Just hoping you had a good day... I LOVE birthday's even though every birthday I have means I'm one year OLDER... LOL I've decided that when I turn 50... I'm going to start counting back down the other way. LOL Hope you had a good one!

Thank you all for the good wishes. This was one of those milestone birthdays. I can't believe I'm 40! It's funny, I've never put much thought into a number, but thinking about this has been a little overwhelming. Remember when you were a kid and being 30 was old? What the heck is 40? Oh well, the alternative is none too pleasant either, so I'll get over it.

As for the celebration, my sister came into town and took me and dds out for dinner. I ate way too much, but it was fun--no dishes and no cooking. Two of my favorite things!!! And it was good to see my sister. :) Again, thanks.

I know what you mean. When I was 10 we celebrated my uncles 27th birthday and I remember thinking how OLD he was and to me... 40 was ANCIENT. LOL I've found that the OLDER I get the younger those numbers seem to look to me. Now at 47... 40 still seems pretty darn young to me. LOL

How nice of your sister to come into town to help celebrate your birthday! :) I'm glad you had a good night out, and a good birthday. Now you can start working on 41. LOL
