Really wanted to sleep in this morning (it's a holiday here), but the dog started barking early :\
Can't tell what kind of day it is going to be yet (weather wise), but I hope it's nice out. Most of the stores will be closed today because it is Thanksgiving here today.
DKs have homework to do....which leads me to a question. Oldest ds is working on an autobiography, and has to create a scrapbook. Are there any scrapbookers out there who can lead to me to some fun templates/ideas?
Hope you all have a great Monday
It's Columbus Day here, federal holiday...first time ever the kids don't have it off.
Marla, how was yesterday?
just the usual Monday stuff here, ds has a football game tonite.
Good morning everyone!
I have to work tonight, but at least get to spend the day with the kids-eventhough we will be spending it at the Doctor's office. :( My ds woke up with a rash yesterday morning. He complained that he was itchy the day before. It wasn't a normal looking rash either. It looked like water stain marks and took a wild guess that it was ringworm. Did some research and it looks like I'm correct, except that everywhere I DIDN'T put the anti-fungal creme yesterday, showed up today in those spots. It covers a lot of his body too and is worse when he first wakes up in the morning. I called the nurse and she said if he has it that bad, then the creme won't work and that he needs to be seen and get oral medication. It never fails, as soon as we plan a vacation somewhere, one of the kids gets ill. We are heading to Lake George this weekend, so dh can hike some mountains while the kids and I relax at the resort.

I bet he will be fine by this weekend. He can still relax and itch at the same time, can't he? LOL

Morning. All by myself today - ahhhh. School's closed for Colubus Day, but they use it as parent/teacher conference day, so we have ours later. Dd spent the night w/in-law's and they are going to the berry farm to pick pumpkins, and do hay rides, etc. :D
I'm digging out Halloween decor and getting the house back in order.
Marla - keeping you in my thoughts.
Amy - let us know what your little man has, poor thing.
Amy, hope your ds is well enough by the weekend for your vacation. What a beautiful time of year to visit Lake George; I'm envious, lol.
I'm still thinking it's the weekend since technically it IS. Not much on today. Dh is out golfing and ds has homework to do, plus his math tutor is coming at 5:00. I might take a walk to my Dad's.

Morning all. No plans for today, looks beautiful outside, so may try to get some more raking done.
Late night last night...dd wasn't feeling good. These iron pills are sure hard on her.
I imagine (and hoping) that mil will invite us over for supper tonight for leftovers. Bil/sil will head back to the city today, but never leave until later.
Have a great day!

Had a great wknd. Went to a Women's Expo with a friend and won a free night at a hotel right by a casino. Dh and I are trying to figure out a wknd we can go. :yippee: Went to my mom's with the boys Sat evening and spent the night. Came home to a clean house - yay for my dh! LOL! Nothing on for today. Heading to the Y tonight.
Amy - Hope your ds gets rid of the rash soon. :\

Did our Thanksgiving thing yesterday, so not much on the agenda for today. dh and the 4 kids are all outside working around the yard. Bil is coming later to help dh do a little repair work on the barn.
KarlaB ~ Hooray about your trip, hope you find a chance to go soon!:yippee:
Amy~ Hope your son is feeling not so itchy soon. Poor kid.
Marla, dd had to do a scrapbook autobiography last year. she used construction paper to make frames to put around photos and just used everyday objects as templates.
She also cut pictures from magazines etc, cut out the faces and inserted others behind them. ds was thrilled when she inserted his hockey photo in a picture to make it look like he was playing with Mats Sundin (his all time fav. Maple Leaf)
Just a typical Monday here, except for that my dh has the day off because of the holiday. He's snoozing still. I have 2 dcks just before and after school day that normally go to the before and aftter school program. They sure have a lot of energy! I have a 2 yr old for the next 2 weeks while her provider is on vacation and then I also have my regular 6 month old today. Busy day for a holiday! The dks have school and my 6 mo old's mom is a teacher. The others I have because the mom's have to work and the dad's are deployed.
No plans for tonight. Will probably watch Survivor (again) and CSI that I taped last week for my dh.
Amy- Ring worm is usually just in one spot (possibly a few), not all over.
(((Marla))) How was visiting fil yesterday?
Ann- hope ds gets to play tonight.
Jen-enjoy the quiet! :)
Darlene-have the dr's come up with any answers as to what's wrong with your dd?
Karla- You won a great prize! :yippee:
Jen you get the boobie prize today!! Your right, it wasn't ringworm. There was no sign of a rash when we went to the docotor's and he said it was most likely viral induced hives. He said ringworms wouldn't just disappear like that and normally wouldn't be all over his body. So whatever is causing his coughing is also causing his hives in the morning. He said it could end tomorrow or the next couple of days.
