Does any one know much about this diet?? I bought the book, and will begin reading it this week, Thursday possibly the earliest.
A friend of mine did buy it says its pretty good, she has lost about 11 pds on it so far, and says she really likes it for now?!? lol
But was wondering has anyone else tried it, and if so where you happy with the results of it?
Thankssss

The two girls in my office are on it. They are doing pretty good too. One girl has a lot more than the other to loose.
For the first 2 weeks you can't have any carbs. no bread, no white flour (pasta), no fruit, and only certain veggies, no carrots, potatoes, corn. And no alchohol. Then after your body has bed detoxed of certain sugars you are aloud to add in a few things at a time.
They are no longer craving foods or feel hungry anymore. And gosh does their lunch smell good!!!! They use alot of herbs, garlic and onions in the meals they cook.
I told them to start cooking for me. :-)

well, maybe will start reading this book tonite then. Need to go food shopping and dont' want to buy what I can't have, hmmm.
Oh boy, but it does sound like people so far are liking it. So just mite fully give it a try for sure. I have got to stop the sweets munchies somehow. And this just mite really help me for sure...
Thanksss Bunchessss...
No one NEEDS pastas, corn or potatoes! ;) Definitely read the book first. It is like an Atkins induction for 2 weeks and then like Sugar Busters for maintenance.

Awww, shucks
With a name like "SOUTH BEACH DIET" I pictures a trip to a nice beach in the sunny south, and letting the sun melt the pounds away - very misleading
Actually, a few people I know have recently tried it. They say the first week was so-so the second week was H*** and after that it has been great. I would like to try something, but know I might as well wait until after the holidays. My will power is just not strong enough when all the Christmas parties start happening.
Maybe I can get dh to do it with me and a New Year Resolution thing...hmmm....
