View Full Version : Hump Day
Seems like no one else could get in either. Glad the board is up and running again.
Typical day here. Dc until 6:30 tonight and then I'm veggin in front of the TV. Don't feel real great today. I have a cold and didn't sleep real well last night. Tomorrow I get to sleep in! :)
Hope you feel better soon, Jen!
Have the day off! Did a bit of housework (laundry and vacuuming) and hope to get out to do a bit of shopping this afternoon. Ds found a cologne he likes so thought I'd pick some up for his for his b-day. Need to pay the dentist for an appt. dh had. Going to fitness tonight.
hmmm...was the board down? I was in here early this am, but didn't feel like starting a morning thread! LOL
DD's family dinner was fun last night. He had his 14 year old check up today. He is 5'6.5" and 128 lbs. He's gained back all the weight he lost plus 5 and grown an 1'5" in a month!
Laundry again for me.
Wow, your ds has sprouted. I can't imagine our ds being that size in a year... I think *R* is maybe 5 feet and only weighs 80 pounds. Glad his b-day dinner was fun! Did your dd eat her two meals?

Morning everyone,
Having a busy day today. I have DCK's here, and I am trying to catch up on some much needed organizing and cleaning. Need to get the summer stuff packed up and taken out to the shed and the winter stuff in. Also have some outside stuff to put away it has been cold here and we wake up inthe mornings to everything all frosty. Yesterday our high was only 13 F..
Going to make soem bananna bread today too and maybe some cookies. Heard back form the job were I had the interview and I didnt get it. At first I was upset but then I thought about it and I am going to try some different places now.
Thats about it here.
Ann-Great Check up for DS, glad to hear he has gained back his weight and then some.
Finally succumbed and saw a doctor today because I still haven't gotten over my illness from last week. The guy was awesome, but wanted me to go to the hospital to get a chest x-ray because one of my lungs was really congested. Thank goodness it isn't pneumonia, but I do have some sort of bronchial/asthmatic condition in my right lung. Im on albuterol and he wants me to take the Z-pack, but I'm just not into taking heavy antibiotics if he can't guarantee if I have a bacterial condition.
I also found out I have allergies?( ?( HE looked up my nose and said that I definitely have them, but the only signs I have is the dark circles I have under my eyes. I don't even get the sniffles or head congestion. Go figure. Once this is over, I need to go back and get a referral to an allergist and see what I'm allergic to.
Rhonda, good luck with your job search. Sorry you didn't get the one you interviewed for.
Amy, good to see you posting, and hope you feel better soon.
Bev..he had a real spurt last summer, it was amazing. DD "missed out" on cake at the first one, but ate tons of snacks at the movie! LOL
Rhonda, how do you have time to work full time, raise 3 kids and then have a part time job????
Amy..hope you are feeling better soon!

Happy Wednesday.
I've been feeling under the weather the last few days:( just one of those nasty head colds where your eyes, ears and even your hair hurts) but I'm a survivor. Sil took the girls for a couple days and sh has taken dd and ds out for supper at McDonalds after hockey practice, so I have the place to myself for a bit. I'm not use to being all alone since the wee ones arrived. It's feels kind of strange.
Not much new and exciting happening here just trying to get a few things together for the girls birthday(s). Since they do have separate b'days MacKenna tomorrow, Megan friday, we are just having a little family thing each night. (Thier fav. meal, cupcake with a candle, one gift etc.) Then on Sat. they have their party together, with grandparents, Godparents and a couple cousins. Of course they just have to have a "Dora" cake. We rented the pan from the local party shop and dd and mil are going to decorate it. The directions look easy enough.

Woke up to 5cm of fresh snow! Everything looks beautiful outside. If winter is going to be here temperature wise, might as well be snow to go along with it! :frosty:
Ryleigh...hard to believe that the girls are 2 already! Gosh I remember when they were born! I even remember when you told us you were expecting!
Amy...might your allergies be from work? Aren't you working in a bar? Maybe the smoke? Hope you get feeling better soon.
Ann...is ds eating you out of house and home now? I remember my brothers eating constantly at that age!

Fortunately, the surrounding counties have banned smoking in restaurants and bars. I've noticed the black circles around my eyes when we moved to Colorado back in 2000. One of these days I'm going to see an allergist and see exactly what it is I'm allergic to after all these years.
