How soon after conception would you experience signs or symptoms?

Leigh, you are going to make yourself crazy! Relax.
A test won't show anything until the day after the first missed period. I have heard some say they knew immediately. Some not have symptoms even after they found out they were. For me, the first signs were major league breast tenderness, not like PMS, but that didn't start till my period was due. I never felt anything before hand.

I started to feel a little strange about a week after my first missed period. Nothing specific that I can pinpoint; just a different kind of feeling.

Right around when my period was due I knew something was up.
I bought a test the day it was due and took it,it came out positive. But a day or two before I had a metallic taste in my mouth, and felt a little nausous.

I know I am driving myself insane, but I have never felt this way before. I just feel like this is the month. We have been trying since Feb, and something is different this time. I just had lunch at my granny's and my uncle asked me how the baby thing was coming. I said we are still trying, he told me we could stop because I was pregnant. I asked him how he knew and he said he just did. He could look at me and tell. He said he did that when his wife was pregnant too. He then said I know I am going to be in trouble if I am wrong. I said, no I am still not going to get my hopes up, but it is so hard. This is going to be a hard month if I am not pregnant. Thanks for all of ya'lls support.

With dd#1 I didn't feel anything until just after the first missed period. Felt a little funny, took a home test came back neg. so figured I was just coming down with something. A few weeks later I was feeling nausious all the time. Dr. confirmed pregnancy.

ds - tested positive after first month, but really didnt feel anything at all until almost two and half months. Then just minor

wee3- felt weird right from the start - put it off as jet-lag, stress, cold, anything but being pregnant. Surprise!!!!

It was different with each pregnancy. The first one I couldn't tell anything... just my missed period. With the second pregnancy, my first clue was the feeling of extreme tiredness. That happened about two weeks before my first missed period. After I missed my period I started getting morning sickness... then I knew for sure. With the last pregnancy I could tell right away... tired, light headed... naucious. I didn't feel the breast tenderness until right after my missed period.

It's funny about how your uncle told you that you were already pregnant... before I even knew I was pregnant with dd #1, someone at work told me that I was pregnant... something to do with the way I "looked". Who knows... LOL Good luck!!

The symtoms I always had before missing a period were... breast tenderness, tiredness, and gagging while brushing my teeth. Our third pregnancy we hadn't planned and the morning I gagged while brushing my teeth, I knew! LOL!

With dd I was tired all the time. I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 9 weeks aglong. Then it made sense. With ds I knew even before I missed my period because I had to pee all the time! I took the test the morning that I was supposed to start and it was positive.

There is one test that says you can take it 2 or 3 days before you are supposed to start your period, but I don't know what brand it is.

Thanks again gals. I took a test this morning and it was negative, but I know that it is really still too early to tell. I will take another one in about a week, and I will let ya'll know how it goes. I am really trying not to get my hopes up, but it is dang near impossible and really it is too late. I have even thought about calling the doctor and seeing if they would do a blood test, but I don't think they would because I am not late yet. Thanks again for everyone's support. It trully means alot.

Never had any symptoms till at least three months in....waiting to at least the first day of missed period.

You can take an early pregnancy test I believe as early as 3 days before your missed period.

I took one and my period wasn't due until the next day, and it was as positive as could be! Now we have a baby boy due in February.
