Update on my dc parent

The test results are in (will have a second conformation on the results on Thursday) but he has auto immune hepatitis. I did a search on it, but didn't get much infor. Basically his body is attacking his liver. He was given steroids today to help with the liver inflamation and will have to be on some sort of medication for the next 2 years. I'm sure that they will find out more information on Thursday. Maybe now that they know what's wrong with him and he's on meds he'll start feeling better. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes.

Never heard of it either. In some ways any diagnosis is better than the dr.'s saying nothing is wrong!

Thanks for the update. I'm glad they finally found out what it was. Hope the meds start working quickly and he'll start feeling better real soon. I'll continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
