It just depends on my mood. Used to depend on how dead the tree was! LOL I will probably take down the tree when we get back. I leave the outside lights till after New Year's.

I probably won't start taking anything down until New Year's Day... We have an artificial tree this year so I guess it's not a big deal if it goes on a day or two beyond that... but not too much longer. It's always a nice feeling when everything is all down and put away... getting the house back to normal. LOL

Usually after New Year's. We do a progressive dinner on NY Eve, so I'll want it decorated for sure.
I didn't really catch the spirit until the first of the week, so I may leave it all up a little later. LOL

If I had my way it probably would have been gone yesterday afternoon, lol! For the sake of the kids though it'll all probably stay up for another week. Ds2 is going to wonder where the heck it all went whenever we do take it down. He still gets excited looking at the lights and decorations, after it being here for a few weeks. :)

When I was growing up, we left the tree up until Epiphany (Jan. 6). I still try to leave it up, but I've got to get it all put away before I go back to work.....probably next Saturday. I always feel a little sad to take it down, but a return to normal is good, I guess.

We took ours down yesterday! LOL I even steamed clean all my carpets today and everything looks so fresh and organized. There is something about after having the presents opened and having them scattered that drives me up the wall. As far as I'm concerned the magic of the holiday is finished and time to get things back to normal.:D

When I had my own place....It was decorated forever....LOL. I usually decorated like the first week in dec and it usually stayed until mid January....I find it depressing to take it all down.

I like to get it down before going back to school. We were so late getting it up this year so I'm not sure when I'll take it down. I get to babysit Braeden all next week so chances are I won't get it down then, so that would only leave the weekend. Who knows it may still be up for Easter. LOL - NOT.

I put so much crap (decorations) up that I'm just totally dreading having to take it all down and put it all away again. LOL It looks wonderful... but I have to admit that I am very excited/anxious to get it all down and get everything back to normal. Doing it is another thing. Whenever I get sick of looking at it. (Probably New Year's Day or the weekend after)

Well...you know some of the stores have Valentine's stuff in them already!! That drives me crazy! I like to leave all of the Christmas stuff up until at least Jan. 1st. Then I take down all of the "Christmas stuff"...but leave up the Wintery stuff (snowmen, sleds, etc.).

That is what I try to do to, but my tree was so dead this year that I had to take it down yesterday. I leave the snowman stuff up for the winter.

New Years Day is the usual around here. The house looks so empty now! I have some winter snowflakes left up though.

I spent my whole day off on New Year's day taking my tree down and UNdecorating the rest of my house... It looks so nice and clean... BIG! LOL Now it's time to go out to look for new (smaller) furniture. LOL
