Just wondering....will Sarah need more surgery as she grows? Will she have special needs? Or does the surgery she had fix it all at once?

How are they doing at home? Now the reality of a newborn will sink in! I get the impression that they will be excellent parents.

No... Sarah shouldn't need any additional kind of surgery. They patched the hole in the diaphram with a special type of material that will grow with her, so everything has already been taken care of.

They are doing real well at home. Sarah is taking in all of her new surroundings... including their cat, Harley. Harley still doesn't quite know what to think of her either. So far though... he's pretty much keeping his distance from her, which is just fine with them. They say it feels real different not having to drive back and forth to/from the hospital 4 times a day. So far she's progressing real well... Can't wait until I feel better so we can go and visit with her again. :)

So glad little Sarah is adjusting to life at home. Ds has a cat but he has given it to my mom and dad since Braeden was born. The poor can had been losing weight and we all thought it was the move and jealousy of the baby. He took the cat to the vet Saturday and the poor thing is diabetic.
