View Full Version : Tuesday
Back to the real world for us. DD came in my bed about midnight saying she threw up, don't know what's up with that. Will see how she feels when I go wake her in a bit. Took the kids and friends bowling and out to dinner last night..that was fun. Have a TON of laundry to do today. It is 31 degrees here..too damn cold!
Yup, it's Tuesday...Work, Dad's, volunteer shift. We definitely are back to the grind, lol.

Welp, I'd normally be at work about now, but since I have no job........ I'm in front of the 'puter in my jammies! lol
Working on laundry again today as well as aiming to finish getting Christmas junk back in the attic.
I am prety sure ds has a sinus infection because he hasn't gotten over a cold in over 2 weeks. I'm calling a local Ped office to see if they take my insurance. One more bill to add to my long list of January bills! :(
I need to get my food shopping done today and do my 8 min. Tae Bo tape. If I can do both of those, then I will be happy today. LOL

Morning all! Much warmer here today....only -33C with the wind! At least the buses are running today.
Oldest dd has gone back to bed not feeling well again. Her barium swallow isn't until the 21st. Hope she isn't sliding downhill again. She has had a pretty good month with only a couple of days not feeling good.
Best get dressed and off to work. Have a good (warm) day all.

Snow Day for the kids and no school for me either. Second day of the term for me and I already have a pile of homework to get to. I have to read my statistics book and the old English version of the code of Hamarabi of all things.
I think I'll get the out smores maker my aunt got us for Christmas so the kids can toast marshmellows. :)
back at work today, loving my new office...on my break now, enjoying the quite...boss is out till 1:00 ;)
Ds is having a hard time with math, so we are doing lots of math in the evenings...I feel like mr. wizard...
Dd is in her drawing stage, so lots of pictures hanging on our fridge.....
cool here, around 47 right now....but its clear and sunny...so that is a plus...
have a great Tues all...
What a crazy night! :crazyroll Ds2 woke up at 10:00 and didn't go back down till 11:30. When I went to put him in his crib ds1 was still awake. I told him he *had* to go to sleep and he asked me if he was late for his bus! ?( After about an hour of sleep I woke up from a nightmare trying to scream!!!! It was at least two hours before I could even shut my eyes again. Half an hour after I got back into bed, ds2 was up again. Finally got him down at 5:30 and ds1 gets up and wakes ds2. Ds1 wants to know when his breakfast will be ready and why I made him take such a long nap!!!! ?( ?( ?(
:banghead:
On the bright (?) side, I got the kitchen and master bath floors swept and mopped and cleaned out my pantry.
Spending time with in laws today since sil and her family are leaving tomorrow. It will be sad to see them go, but I'm ready to get back my old routine!

Preschool for ds this afternoon and I'm heading to the Y. Back home for a couple of hours and then back to the Y tonight to bring in a new family. :)
OMG Pam - what a night!! Had to laugh at your ds though and his confusion!! I've laid down to take naps before and gotten up when it's dark thinking it's the middle of the night. :crazyroll

Morning all,
Starting to warm up here today too. It i s-33C right now and we are warming up to -27C.
Not much happening again today. GOT DS#1and 2 to the bus this morning and now here I sit.
DS#3 is playing with an old toy keyboard, I think the batteries are starting to go though.
DS#2 has hockey after school today then we will come home and stay warm.
Hope you all have a great day!!!
After watching the news, it looks like everyone has cold weather. We are supposed to get some very high winds today, gust of up to 75 miles per hour with the wind chill at -45 degrees!!! 8o The temp is below zero right now and I don't expect it to get much above if it does at all. My poor dks have to walk! It sure stinks not having a vehicle on days like this.
I'm still plugging along, going through things. I have acomplished a lot, but still have a way to go. It's going to be another LONG day!

My dk's bus was late this morning. It was so cold that the "stop arm" on the bus wouldn't work. LOL
I took my van in for an oil change today. While I was there, Walmart, I found they had the leapster I paid $79.99 before Christmas for $23.00. That is a great deal!
I'm just hanging out waiting for the kids to get home. Bible study tonight.
Keep warm and wishes to those sickies  out there.

I think they have a 90 day policy where if the prcie goes down they will give you back the difference. (We were told that by a guy there when we bought a Game Cube and 31 days later the price dropped $50. Best Buy told us they wouldn't do anything after 30 days no matter what and the guy at WalMart said they would have honored the new price within 90 days.) Anyway, I don't know if it applies to clearance items, but it may be worth checking into. :)

For our school division which has approx 40% rural students bussed in, they implemented a policy a few years back that states......if the temp is -40C or lower - no buses, if the combined temp/wind chill is -46C or lower - no buses, and if road travel is not recommened by the RCMP - no buses.
Schools stay open and most bus students end up coming because their parents work in town.

I don't think so. They went last year when it was this cold. They don't go out to recess if the temp is -10F don't know what that is in C temps.
