Man... how did the date get here so fast.
I've run the Indy Mini-marathon the last 2 years, but I had to walk some last year b/c it was soooo hot.
I'm in better shape this year, but it is always difficult to run 13 miles and some change!
I consistently run 5 miles, and I have made 6, 7, and 8 mile runs. My goal is to do a 10 mile run tomorrow, and you can all call me a slacker if I don't!
Anyway wish me luck, and if you really want to support me... let me hand you a baton at about the 8 mile marker!
:biglaugh:
Go! Go! Go!!! You can do it!!!!!
btw..love your new quote!

I'll take the baton if you carry me the rest of the way.
Before the baby came, I was ready but I haven't run in three weeks. I think I may be walking quite a bit this Saturday.

I hit the road at 6:30 a.m. and I am happy to say that I did the 10 miles and still felt like I had something left to give.
So, I'm feeling really good about my chances.
I think psychologically I needed to get to that 10 mile mark. I never ran further then 8 miles last year.
Well, the weather was perfect this morning and I hope for cool weather this weekend.
I'm not sure If I can survive Barney, "But anything is possible if you just use your imagination!" ;)

Wow! I am impressed! I thought it was a big deal when I could run over a mile last summer! LOL! Good luck this wknd and hope the weather is awesome!! :)
btw - LOL about Barney!!!!
Way to go! I think running the 10 miles would be easier than sitting through Barney.
I wish I could run. Hurts the shins too much. I have to stick with walking. Walking is the best thing for a bad back. Studying this last month for Bible Bowl took my morning walk time. Today was my first day back on a walking regimen. My back was really get tight on me. Hurts like the devil today from all the sitting over the weekend.
