Well we are back and I am wiped out! We had a fun trip. The kids were just great. We studied the whole way. We had a microphone like on tour buses and the coaches used it to ask questions. The kids got a kick out of it.
It was so funny, once we got settled into our rooms we met for a devotional. Our leading coach had been to the university to check us in and came back and reported that the good news was that we were registered to take the test, the bad news was that it was over Genisis ..... long pause for dramatic effect. Then he said, "and there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour." We all died laughing.
We started the test at 8:15 am and finished at 11:30. After lunch we toured the campus, went to a baseball game, and finally the awards assembly. Our HS team finished 5th, with two students receiving indiviual honors 2nd and 6th overall. Ds' team game in 5th place as well in the JH division. One student got 5th overall in that division as well. Our coaches didn't do to shabby either. Of the 59 coaches brave enough to take the test we placed 1st, 2nd, 5th and 9th.
