I'd like to start a game night with the kids and am having troble remembering the games I played as a kid.

Last night we bobbed for apples (okay they bobbed for apples, lol), played Twister, hide the thimble, I Spy and Doctor Doctor.

Any suggestions? Board games are okay but I'm more interested in things like Simon says, Red Light/Green Light, Mother May I, etc. Ds1 didn't understand I Spy last night but I think he still had fun.

Sounds like a lot of fun... :) Here are a few we use to play.

Red Rover, Red Rover... Send ? right over,
hula-hoop, Hot Potato, Frisbee, Badmitton, Hide and Seek, Hopscotch, Dodge ball, Scavanger Hunt (Hide and Seek), Marbles, Kick the Can, Chinese Jump Rope or regular Jump Rope), Jacks, Duck Duck Grey Duck, Freeze Tag or regular tag, Spin the Bottle, Captain May I?, Simon Says, Red Light/Green Light...

If I think of any more but if I do I'll be sure to post them. Have fun!

One we played that my dk's always enjoyed is "What time is it Mr. Wolf?"
What about something as simple as tic- tac-toe, hang-man?
