OK!! I Guess that I am the only one eating tonight!!
ROFL! Kacee
I do alot in the crockpot..roasts, chickens, stews, soups.
Also make cheater enchilladas (just stack up the tortillas, like you would a lasagna, rather than rolling them), baked rigatoni. We also grill a ton and then steam veggies to go with it.
btw..not cooking tonite..dd is still under the weather and dh and ds have baseball.

Thismorning (Thursday) I stuck a roast/potato's and carrots in my crockpot. That way I don't have to really "cook" tonight when I'm too tired to want to. Easy clean up and everybody likes it. I "might" even get REAL lazy and resort to paper plates... depending upon who gets home when. I don't like waiting and having to do dishes at 8:00. Ugh! :)

Diane - sounds delicious!!
I will be making pasta and a salad tonight. We had steaks last night. Now tomorrow will be another day to worry about. I really need to get out of this don't want to cook mode.

We tried this recipe last week for the first time and it was good and easy to make. My sister got it out of a magazine.
Contadina Penne Pasta Bake
Prep: 20 minutes
Cook: 20 minutes
12 oz Penne pasta
1 lb ground beef or sausage
1 chopped onion
1 can (15 oz) Contadina Italian style tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) Contadina diced tomatoes with Italian herbs
1 can (6 oz) Contadina Italian paste with roasted garlic
4 cups shredded cheese
preheat oven to 350
1. Cook pasta according to directions on package; drain
2. Cook meat and onion, drain. Stir in tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, tomato paste and 1/2 cup water.
...cook 10 minutes stirring occasionally
3. Layer half pasta, half sauce, and half cheese in 9x13 dish; repeat.
4. Cover and bake for 20 minutes

Have you ever tried the recipes off of the back of boxes. I will usually try those exactly as stated first and then I will change them according to my husband's and mine taste. I have tried them off of the minute rice box and off of the bisquick box. I started trying them because I was tired of the same old thing time after time :)

My family is usually so pickey about what they eat. If I make something one night you can usually count on SOMEBODY not liking it. My middle dd is the worst one of them all but now she works one night a week so I can usually make anything I want on Tuesday night without listening to anybody complain. I've also gotten to the point where I tell her that if she doesn't like what I make... she's welcome to drive herself somewhere else and then she can order whatever she wants. LOL Cooking is definitely NOT my most favorite thing to do... so it's frustrating when you go to a lot of trouble to make something you think everybody will like and they don't. I've found a lot of good recipe's on the net though... and that has helped me to find a lot of new and different things to try. Some nights I simply give up and order a pizza. LOL Now THAT'S easy! If it were me, I could live on Soups, salads, sandwhiches, and chinese food. LOL
and marinara sauce, my dh doens't eat meat and that makes my kids picky so I am cooking plan pasta and plain sauce....probably a big green salad to boot.....
happy eating...
It's just me and the kids tonight, so they are having fruit and sandwiches, I'm having grilled chicken, pasta, olive oil, garlic and sundried tomatoes. Yum :)

wow! Sheryl...your dinner sounds great! I don't cook like that for just me.
The great thing about my dinner is aside from the chicken, which is left-over from yesterday the hardest part of it is the pasta. I only sautee the garlic and tomatoes for two or three minutes, toss it in some pasta and it's ready. I've almost always got some cooked pasta in my fridge so my dinner will only take about ten monutes:)
