Yesterday is over and I survived. It was pretty tough. All my mom's stuff had just been tossed into the guest house (where she died). My girl relatives are amazing! My aunt and 2 cousins were life savers! We did find some things to laugh and giggle about as we waded through the memories. Before we left we got out some of mom's waterford wine glasses and drank a toast to her. We then went back to my aunt's house (i stopped and got all sorts of munchies) and ate and drank wine.
DH was SUPPOSED to paint and DD was SUPPOSED to deliver girl scout cookies, of course, none of that got done! grrrrr
Today, need to take DD to find some dress shoes, deliver cookies and show DH what to paint.

Bless your heart!! I'm glad yesterday is over and you had such good support, and how cool to drink a toast to her. You know she's with you, and I'm sure she'd be so proud of your strength and goodwill you're showing.
Hang in there, that cruise is going to feel soooooo good, huh? ;)

Not much going on here. Going to wash windows since the weather is so warm. I'm getting really nervous about my new job starting tomorrow (what if I hate it, what if I can't do it, blahblahblah.......). I'll probably vacuum and get laundry going today too.

Morning All~

Not much going on today...I was possible going to kmart but we'll see. I'm pretty achy today. All my joints and everything hurt. So I may just relax.

The jewlery show did not go well at all. My friend had invited som moms from work and 3 said they would definatly come and they did not show (didn't even call). :{ So it ended up just being 3 of us. But atleast we had anight out.

Ann~ Glad things went well. Sounds like you have a pretty good support system there. When's the cruise? That will be nice!

[i] I'm getting really nervous about my new job starting tomorrow (what if I hate it, what if I can't do it, blahblahblah.......). [/B]

I can't tell you how good it made me feel to hear someone else (who has been in the job market for a while) say something like this. I thought it was just me not having enough confidence in myself after not working outside of the home for so many years. I'm SO afraid I'll quit what I'm doing and not like my new job or not be able to do it.

I'm sorry you feel this way... I'm sure you'll do just great!!! Let us know how your first day went... Lots of luck. :)

Diane...

Morning all. Gotta get myself in gear and get this house cleaned. Getting some cookies/muffins made for lunch kits is another priority.

Ann...glad to hear you made it through yesterday! Can't imagine the mix of feelings you are going through. :\

Jen....good luck tomorrow! Hope you love it! :D

Vea...hope you get feeling better. :)

Diane...are you considering quitting daycare again?

Have a great day all.

(((AnnW))) I'm glad you found laughter through the tears. How great of your aunt/cousins!

We went to church today and then I stopped by Walmart. Brichard went to fill up my dad's car. He is coming home today and we will have to give up driving his Hummer. It is fun to drive so you can watch people watch you. I am all the evny of teenage girls!!!! ROFL!!! Aw, well, back to the minivan...

I'm working on laundry and re-cleaning the house.

I am so pumped my mom booked a trip for she and I to Chicago for my birthday weekend. We decided to fly instead of driving through the traffic. Anyone know Chicago very well? What shouldn't we miss?

Also, I just booked our spring break to Florida. That's where you are right Leigh? Wanna hook up? email me at brichwifey@netzero.com

It's been quite a week. Meg come down with tonsilitis and and ear infection. Third tonsil flare up since Christmas. Dr. says they need to come out, now just to get a surgery date set.
ds fell at school and chipped a tooth (a permanent one) and had to get it capped. dh was in a car accident, not hurt seriously, but pretty brused up. The driver of the car, one of dh's co-workers, ended up with a broken ankle and two fractured ribs.
dd#1 is having a good week for a change. got 100% on her science test and was able to go back to gymnastics.
Me, other than a little stressed :tearhair: I am surviving. The great weather this weekend helps to lift everyones spirits.

OPRAH!!!!!

These are some of the things our family did in August:

Marshall Fields dept. store/downtown - eat in the Walnut Room
Go to the top of the Sears tower (I belive, still the tallest building in North America)
Go to the top of the Han**** building -- the views are incredible
We shopped the Magnificent Mile.... :)
If I can think of other stuff, I'll let you know. The Chicago tourism dept. has great books they'll send you FREE!! Poke around the internet and see what's going on in the city.
OH, Navy Pier is somewhere I really wanted to go, but always got shot down. LOL I think they do fireworks every night and there's shopping, eating, etc.

Have Fun!

Karla - we will be there March 27 - April 3. At Disney World 31-1. When are you going? Email me.

Lilsis - We are staying on "the mile" the first night and then going to a casino the second night. I did tell my mom I wanted to go to the Navy Pier. I have been on the Oprah site but they haven't opened up ticket reservations for April yet though they should any day now. I even emailed for some of the "be on the show" topics.

Amy - if you are around could you email me? I have some New York state living questions. brichwifey@netzero.com Thank you!
