I'm off to the skating rink with dk's school today. They are having a winter fun week. Family BBQ after school today too.
DD#1 is turning 12 tomorrow. I can hardly believe it. She has about eight friends coming for the day and most of them are sleeping over. ds says he can't take being in a house full of "nutty women" and has requested to go to a friends place.

Going out with some gals from work tonight. We have a new boss and these nights out have become venting sessions. :) Nothing going on today. I want to get my haircut and am hoping my gal has an opening or cancellation.

Happy birthday to your dd!! Don't they have school on Friday that they can sleep over? Have fun with the party and all of the girls. :)
Ryleigh, Happy birthday to your dd! The sleepover sounds fun...too cute what your ds said, lol.
Karla, here in Ontario, our kids start March break on Friday so no school...I'm not sure if it's the same where Ryleigh lives. ENJOY your night out with the girls and I hope you are able to get you hair cut.
Not much on for me today. Work, but I'm leaving early. Think I might go see my nephews for a bit. Or maybe I'll go home and vacuum the grit brought in from outside at this lovely time of year.

Gotta run a few errands tonight. I'm "suppose" to be getting my car back today, sure hope I do. I can't tell you how much I've missed it... LOL I've got a lot of errands that I have to run with/for my mom, and I haven't been able to do them so... hopefully it will be done. (they had to rebuild the transmission)
Another quiet day today... got a few loads of laundry to get done and some light house cleaning, otherwise nothing on the agenda.
Ryleigh... Happy Birthday to your dd...
Karla... have fun!
BevJ... have a good visit with your nephew...
morning all, Been a crazy week, dh resigned after 18 years with the same company, its all good, he will be starting at a new Co. end of the month., Better for us all the way around. Its just been a rollercoaster emotionally around here.
we are looking for something to buy, CONDO, HOUSE wise, should be moving in June.
Kids are doing great. Starting Swimming lessons this Saturday.
Oh and our TV blew up last night.
Working till 5 and then TV repair
Good morning! :) Not too terribly much on the agenda today. Was planning on tackling the laundry room but may be able to talk myself out of it. Ds1 has a doctor appointment this morning (follow up on the adhd meds) and then the three older ones have gymnastics this afternoon.
Hope you all have a great day!
So far my morning is starting slow, have spent the last hour, taking care of some long overdue correspondence to family and friend.
But must get myself in gear now because I have a few errands to run this morning and am then taking dd out for lunch today for her 13th Birthday. So now we have 2 teenage daughters in the house, what fun, what fun!!
Other than that it's gym from 3:30 - 9:00, so that's about all my day can handle!
Ryleigh - Happy birthday to your dd, has she gone back to gym yet since she hurt her arm? Will she get to compete at all this year? What level is she?
Diane - hope you get your car back, I just hate being without a vehicle.
I am just so tired today, went back to bed after the kids left and slept till 10! I could still sleep some more except for the laundry and dirty kitchen that kept calling my name. Think I will hop on the treadmill in a bit to see if that helps..haven't been on since Saturday.
Today is my 20th wedding anniversary! We are going out with the kids tonite, but nothing fancy.
Ryleigh, happy birthday to your dd
Renee, what will your dh be doing now?

Hello all,
Staying home most of the day. I have the spring cleaning itch...
Also have DCK's today too.
DS#2 brought home his report card on Monday and he is doing GREAT...I am so proud of him..He just needs to work on reading more.
DS#1 should bring his home today. So we'll see how he does. Took him to the Dr. yesterday for his follow up on the ritalin. He is doing good. He seems to be able to "hold it together" longer and the teachers and principal has noticed differences and so have we. Hope we have things figured out now and that things get better for him.
Spring break starts on Monday for us DS'S cant wait. I have signed them up for swimming lessons during it.
Ryleigh-HAppy Birthday to DD
Renee- GL with house hunting
Fern, Happy b-day to your dd!
Ann, happy anniversary!
Got an email from my sister saying that my Dad had a fall last night outside his bedroom door. Hit his head on the cold air vent and now has 4 staples. Good grief, he falls too often. Sister said he was disoriented after the fall and didn't remember why he fell or what he was doing before the fall. Must suck to be 84 and paralyzed on the left side and weaker than he's ever been in his life. And he's a tall man too, so he falls hard.
Bev, is he in an assisted care place? If not, since he seems to be falling more, you might need to make that move.

Ann, he's not. He lives in the top half of a bungalow and my sister and her partner live in the basement apartment. This is why they are living with him...he says he's not ready for a home. I couldn't do what they do...I mean I could take care of him by cooking his meals and putting his nitro patch on, but I couldn't stomach/handle any falls, etc. I'm way too emotional for that. If it were up to me, he would be living in a nursing home at least.
Jen...what's the new job? Sorry, I must have missed a post about it :o

Bev - I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he mends quickly.
I haven't posted about THIS job. LOL It's such a no-brainer! LOL
I'd always wondered who replenished the real estate magazines at the grocery store, post office, etc., so I found out! I'm actually taking a little 'route' practically in my backdoor. I'll work 2 days a week pulling old editions and replacing with the new. I can fax in my paperwork so I only have to make 1 trip to the 'office'! I don't have to stand on my feet, deal with people or money and did I say it's only 2 days a week?? LOL So, we'll see how it goes!

How very nice of your sister. I am with you, I don't think I could either. We were lucky, my grandmother was adamant, but then we found her a really nice place that gave the feel of an apartment and should could have all her stuff, but had the round the clock care she needed.
Jen, how does it pay? Shoot, that sounds like something even I could do! ;)

Fern: Happy birthday to your dd also. dd is back to gymnastics but still has to take it easy. She missed out on the final qualifier to go to finals, but her coach is working on a way that she still might be able to get her in as long as she has the Dr.'s go ahead. The final meet is the end of April, so hopfully something will come up. It's her first year competing provincials. She has tried out a few times, but only qulified this year.

Karla: As BevJ mentioned, the kids here are starting their Spring Break. Actually, here it officially starts Monday but dk's school had a PD day on Friday. Worked out great for us as dd could actually have her party on her birthday instead of waiting for the weekend.

I'm sure you could! lol
Each 'stop' pays a certain amount. For instance, one grocery store chain is like $2. It doesn't sound like much when it's laid out that way, but when the girl who trained me (who does this particular route) said she cleared about $500 a month (that includes about $100 for mileage reimbursement, pretax) I thought that sounded pretty good for working 8 days a month.
I'm finding out there are different stops each day. Like one day, I'll have 25 stops and another, I'll have about 100! But, as nice as they are, they'll let me break it down into an additional day that one week.
We'll see how it goes. I'm praying that I'll get a position at our chruch's nursery school. They are adding a new 3 year old class and hopefully since dd went through their program and I know the director and all the teachers, I'll have a bit of an "in". That would be a great job!
