View Full Version : What's in your Coffee?
Just sitting here enjoying the quite, dd is watching Beauty and the Beast Christmas....LOL  I am reading the board and enjoying my coffee.....I was curious as to what you all put in your coffee, those of you who partake....LOL...its my only vice left.....I have discovered the Hazlenut Coffee mate creamer....I love it....with a spoon of sugar also, WOW.... its like a little bit of heaven to me.....:yippee:
I have to have CoffeeMate cinnamon vanilla in mine. It use to be ammerato creamer, but since I discovered the other one, I won't touch anything else. I like it just creamy enough to taste both coffee and creamer.
Mine has half and half (my indulgence) and a teaspoon of slendora, that sugar substitute that tastes like real sugar.
When I don't use flavored coffee I us flavored coffeemate. Love Ammeretto and Hazelnut. I really go for the coffee though. Snickerdoddle, Hazelnut, Swiss Chocolate, Caramel Creme (Ohhh), I cant't think of the one I'm using right now, but it too is very good.
Two sweeteners and lots of coffeemate. This year is the first year I've really gotten into coffee. The quite of the early morning is the best. Bad thing is, it has really stained my teeth. What do you do?
I have porceline crowns of my two front teeth and when I was smoking asked my dentist what to do about coffee and smoking stains.....he told me to stay way from the brightening toothpastes.....but that Plax rinse first then a regular floride toothpaste  brushing at least twice a day....or rinsing your mouth with just water after a cup of coffee, if you can't brush after a meal.....I too just love coffee...and quite time....
Well, I'm so boring with my coffee...milk and 2 sugars, LOL, but I'm definitely going to have to try Amy's cinammon and vanilla CoffeeMate!!!
Milk. Nonfat. But if I really want to be nice to myself, I'll go get a Latte. Tall. Nonfat. I live in Seattle, doncha know! Amy

I can't do without my coffee either... I grind my own coffee... and then I pour in a little bit of International Delite Chocolate Cream plus about a teaspoons worth of French Vanilla... JUST right... :)

After reading about all of these yummy coffees I am thinking it's time for me to start drinking it and give up my morning Mountain Dew!!!!
When I was (much) younger a friend and I ordered a cup of coffee once when we were out because we thought it seemed so grown up. We added tons of sugar and we still couldn't stand it!! Now that there are so many options I think I need to give it another try! :)
I don't do the flavored coffee every day though. Otherwise you just get used to it and it is not so much of a treat.
Renee, you mean I'm wasting my money on whitening toothpaste. I've only bought one tube, and I haven't noticed a difference at all. thanks for the tip.

No coffee for me. Tea once in a while but not much into that either.
dh is the coffee drinker of the house. Morning is not complete without a trip through the Tim Horton drive thru.
Just the smell of it these days makes me nauses. I'll stick to milk and fruit juice. Even soda's turn me off lately.

I drink my coffee black like a real man, not some girly man! (In my best Hans und Frans voice!) :)
But, when I went to visit my twin in Boston... everybody drinks Dunkin Doughnuts coffee. And a "coffee regular" out there is loaded with sugar and cream. And I might say... it was quite tasty!
I prefer to have Starbucks when I get a chance. I like Cappuccino from time to time and an Espresso in a great once in awhile.
Flavored coffe's can be fun for variety, but I don't like them everyday. I still think they "smel"l more different then 'taste" different.

Dh teases me that I like "high maintenance" coffee. A little coffee with my milk and sugar. I don't drink it everyday.
I drink my coffee black like a real 'man' too. I have to start cutting back though, because it's the only thing that I can blame for the fact that I can't sleep through the night. I'm tired of waking up at 4:30 when the alarm's set for 6. It couldn't be stress could it? Please someone give me a reason to keep my coffee. LOL
Seriously, in the winter (all eight months of it!) I drink too much coffee--about 7 or 8 cups. In the summer, I'm a water drinker, after the morning 2 cups. I'm very low maintenance. ;)

I am a big coffee drinker, but worry about the caffiene, so in the am, I mix half decaf and half reg...I can't tell the difference in taste at all. When I make coffee in the afternoon, I will only put in one scoop of reg to the rest decaf.
AnnW--I could do that with my own coffee, and probably will when I'm home. The problem is when I'm at work or out with a friend. Coffee is also very social for me.I've started ordering decaf occasionally and get the strangest looks from friends of long standing. (Not old friends--notice!) I just like things to stay the way they are and hate changes of any kind. I'm one of those who read all your redecorating posts and thought "Ooh, that sounds so nice...I think I'll move that ugly picture frame to the other side of the piano." I live vicariously through the fabulous adventures of all you who have lives and take risks. LOL

ROFL! I don't think ordering 1/2 decaf and 1/2 regular is that much of adventure! LOL
I order it mixed all the time when I am out, and at work I know there is the orange handle pot and the green handle pot sitting right next to each other!!!
Come on...join me on the ledge! :newwink:

I mix mine half and half at home too, but at work I get "leaded".

I like a really strong Columbian coffee with a little bit of raw sugar with soy milk, shaken not stirred. How's that for specific?!
At work, they make one pot of decaf first thing in the morning. Everything else is high-test. I'm surprised by how many people don't drink coffee. I work in a building with about 70 people and except for training days when there are no children, we go through about 5 or 6 pots a day. I don't think that's much.
AnnW-Come in off that ledge. It's scary out there.

MM! My HH bought me a cappuccino maker while we were state side. I am now a coffee snob. I only drink cappuccino. It's an espresso maker too. I just love the frothy milk.
I use a brand of coffee that's grow on the island. It's called Yaocono. It's probably in the ethnic section of your local grocery store. The bag is black and yellow with a cartoon of a black woman with her head wrapped in a red bandana. It's finely ground, but you can use it in your regular coffee maker too. Really good.
Here on the island, they use the old fashioned (Now very popular and expensive) percolator. You know the "Italian" style silver pot that is in 2 pieces . You put the coffee a little basket in the top part and the water in the bottom. You place the pot directly on the stove and listen for the sound of hissing air. That's when it's done. YUM!

I'm a tea drinker. Don't really care for coffee. If I do drink coffee, half and half and sugar is a must. The coffee itself needs to be on the strong side, too. My mom had Godiva Chocolate Coffee and that was pretty good!

I can feel my pulse quickening already. I need my coffee. Starbucks, Tim Horton's, almost any coffee ~ except Mcdonalds~ YUCK!!!
I like my coffee black, but will occasionally add a little milk. No sugar.
I'm sweet enough - doncha think!
Ryleigh introduced me to these smilies. Now I'm having fun! Don't have a favorite yet.

I do not drink coffee too much either. When I do it has to be a really cold morning and I take about three tsp sugars and two tbsp milk. I do drink mochas occationaly, but also have to add sugar to those. I haven't ever tried flavors in coffe, only in hot chocolate. I might like coffee better if I tried the flavors.
