Well, its actually going to be in the high 70s today, can you believe it? :yippie: I am planning to plant some things in the garden, dd will help of course....Max is already chained up outside and having a ball....I also need to get my Hummingbird feeders filled and hung.... I so love to watch them come to the window......

anyway...... I thought I would get things wrapped up here, and then watch Regis and Kelly, Elizabeth from Survior is on today.....

I am feeling pretty good, my headache is now dull, and DH is doing alot better....we talked last night, and he is just really scared about his job future...I reassurred him, that we will be OK, we are going to be fine....he felt better after our talk....poor baby, I didn't realize just how worried he was about all his stresses....we have also decided to start walking :walkin: together in the evening, with the kids and dog, to relieve some of the daily grind....I am cooking way healthier for all of us, and I just feel like now things will be ok....

Have a great one all....we are enjoying the sunshine :wiggle:

Good morning (in my best singing voice)!!!

Today is going to be another sunny beautiful day here. I just love the month of May!

Murphy's law still exists in my family! I steamed cleaned my family room this weekend and lo and behold, ds took off his poopy diaper and used my rug as toilet paper and my dog just threw up this morning. Lovely... LOL

Im still trying to get my sprinkler system working. I am sooo glad this will be my last rental. This rental agency is horrible and extremely cheap. The good news is that I have become quite buddy with Farrah! LOL Hows that for desperation for adult contact? LOL

I know what you mean about cleaning the rugs, and then accidents happening...LOL... everytime I mop the dog mudds it up or pees...LOL....

have a great day... :wiggle:

So glad things look better this morning. Sometimes I don't think we realize the strain "providing for a family" is on our husbands. We tend to get tied up in our own stresses and not understand their stresses. Walking together at the end of the day is a great idea.
I'm hoping to get my hanging baskets done after school today myself. And fill those hummingbird feeders. I got the food yestereday. If time permits I may even fertilize my bedding plants.
Kdg. classes have a music program first thing this morning so I need to get them ready for that.
Good day all!

Morning! DD is playing sick today, for some reason she is all weepy about missing me while she is at school, doesn't want to go to field day today cause she is afraid the flag will fall on her, has a headache, cough....life is really rotten for her! LOL I probably should force her to go, but I know that she will work herself up into such a tizzy that she would probably throw up at school and they would make me come get her anyway. She is now finding out how boring it is to be at home.

Renee, glad things are looking up.
Amy...have fun with Farrah! LOL

AnnW, I am Laughing at your situation with dd, once ds played sick, I fell for it enought to keep him home, and then when he realized that we don't do anything great when we are sick, we are to stay in bed and rest...he hasn't wanted to stay home "sick" since....LOL. funny aren't they... I guess he thought that we were having big  Parties here while he was at school.... LOL

Happy May Day!! :)

Ds and I planted flowers together this wknd - he loved it and was such a good helper. We head to our attorney today with our buyers to sign the Purchase Agreement. :yippee: We also have a few May Baskets to deliver!!

Amy - LOL about Farrah!!! :)
Renee - Glad things are going better. Dh and I love to walk after supper - good time to get caught up on the day and get a little exercise! :tinysmile
Ann- I used to have days like your dd. Loved it when my mom let me stay home...even if I ended up bored. :)

Howdy y'all. I am letting the books pile up around me as I post. I should be shelving them, but will check in here first. Till I get in trouble that is!!

It is a beautiful day. Just work then piano. I got all my laundry, baked 6 loaves of bread, and dishes done last night!! So home tonight should be relaxing not!! DD has dance and will get home later than usual. I think I will try one of those quick recipes!!

I am glad everyone else is having a great day!!

Boy... I'm feeling like the worse day care provider in the whole world... I FORGOT THAT IT WAS MAY DAY!!! Thank YOU Karla for mentioning it in your post, or I would have completely forgotten! :crazyroll I had to hurry up and get a May Day craft idea going for the kids and got them up to the table to quick make their May baskets/flowers. Ugh!!! Right now... I'm totally exhausted!!! :dazed: LOL That's what I get for being too busy to plan ahead! Well... in the end we did/got something done and they'll at least be going home with something.

It's been absolutely beautiful here today. Not too hot, not too cool... I've had the kids outside most of the day. I bought a new BIG wagon from SAM'S... it's really cool. It's got sit down seats in it... with a little cooler compartment underneath one seat. I'm not too sure if that's what it's suppose to be but at least it can be used as one. Anyway, the top part of the wagon lifts off (with key like things on the sides) and walla... you have a TABLE. It's SO cute and the kids love it. Of course... I'm the one who gets to pull them all over the place, but heck... it keeps them happy and busy. It will be a nice thing to have for the littler ones this summer when we decide to walk to the park. :) I know I shouldn't be buying any new stuff because I don't know what my future in day care will be but... as I told dh, SOMEday we'll have grandchildren and we can use it for when they come over for a visit. :) Hard to think of grandchildren when none of my kids are married yet but... I'm sure some day it will happen. :)

Sounds like you all are having a pretty good day. I can't believe that tomorrow is Wednesday already. When it's nice outside like this the day's/weeks just seem to fly... Before you know it, it will be June... (and almost vacation time) :)

Take care...

Diane...

Weather is great today and a lot of my sweet little dc kids didn't show up so got to come home early!!! I was outside for a while but don't want to risk getting burnt so came in to cool off. Maybe go for a walk tonight when it cools down a bit. :walkin:

A couple of kids in one of the other classrooms have come down with chicken pox. Hope it doesn't spread to my room. Not something I need to be exposed to right now.

Realtor just called and has a couple who want to look at the house this evening around 6:00. I guess this means we are going out for supper!!! I don't have to cook :yippee: :yippee:

 I too, forgot May Day. I remembered when we were doing our calendar lesson. Unlike you, though, I just didn't have it in me to do a craft. We had a big music program today. So, I'm worse than you are.

Diane - Glad you got a May Day project done! I forgot one year and was scrambling to get something to the neighbor kids after they delivered baskets here. This year I was ready! :) I have seen the wagon you bought at Sam's - it looks (and sounds) neat!! Your grandkids will love it someday!! :)

Ryleigh - I think that's one of the things I enjoyed most while tryingto sell our house - the excuse not to cook since most of our app'ts came around supper time!! :) I'll keep my fingers crossed that these people are interested!

Is May day a big celebration? I don't think I have ever celebrated it.

How nice that you were able to come home early... every once in a while when certain kids (my late ones) don't come to day care I'll get the opportunity to get off a little bit early and it's always such of a treat when I do.

I agree... you've really gotta be careful of those chicken pox. I'd be nervous :nervous: of one of the other children in your group getting exposed... You definitely don't need to be exposed to those!

Good luck with your house. I hope this couple will like it enough to make an offer... wouldn't that be GREAT??? Have you already found another house or started looking yet? You might have said something abuot it in another post and if you did... I must have missed it.

I'm sure you didn't mind having to go out for supper one bit... LOL Anytime I can find a good excuse for not cooking... I'm out of here!!! We usually do the night out on Friday nights... and I really look forward to not having to cook and clean on those nights. Good way to end the week. Good luck on the house though... I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Tuesday's aren't one of our regular craft day's... so it wasn't even something I had been thinking about. I didn't really feel like doing one either but if I hadn't I'm sure some my dc parents would have thought there was something terribly wrong with me. (we ALWAYS make a craft for such "holiday's".) They turned out really cute though and after we were finally done with them I was really glad we had done them. :)

Anyway... HAPPY MAY DAY everyone! LOL :)

We always celebrated as kids by making baskets, filling them with candy (you can also fill them with flowers instead of candy) and then anonomously leaving them at friend's doors. I think the tradition is the recipient is supposed to try to "catch" the person leaving the basket??

I too have never celebrated May Day, so don't feel left out. Hope your dd is "feeling" better tomorrow. At least she is not missing much if it is just field day.

Renee
I am glad that things are looking up for you. Hope you get to take that walk, and hope dh gets to relax a little.

DianeP
From the way that you described the wagon, I would enjoy it LOL!, so I am sure that your grandchildren will also someday.

Amy/CO
Murphy's Law always seems to happen around here too. Keep your chin up it will get better.

kat
Just say that the musical was for May Day, or is it too late for that. LOL!

Kacee
I am glad that you get to have a relaxing night. After last night, it sounds like you deserve one.

Ryleigh
Hhope you get your walk later. Be careful of the chicken pox, and enjoy your night out. You deserve it.

If I forgot anyone, I am sorry. I didn't mean too.
Have a great day!
