Good morning. Woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground...ACK!!! Dull and damp out, with a chance of rain. BUT it's looking good for the weekend :D
Work, dinner at Dad's but no volunteer shift tonight...have the night off. Will look forward to being home on a Tuesday evening for a change. Dh might fill in and play cribbage in a league tonight for/with a friend.
Have ground beef out for dinner tonight but have no clue what to make with it. Any suggestions?
Bev- spaghetti is easy and good! :)
Woke up early again with dh's alarm. I have 2 bathrooms to clean and I need to go grocery shopping before work. I have the Sears repairman coming this afternoon to look at and hopefully fix my dryer. it was working great in AK and hasn't been drying well since we moved here. I hope he can fix it. I just bought a new washer and I don't want to spend the $ on a new dryer when this one worked just fine a few months ago!

Good morning!!! The sun is shining... and it's suppose to get up into the 60's today. I'm going to get the kids outside today so I can get some more yard work done. It's nice to see the grass/tree's turning green again. My tulips are coming up... and the neighbor's lillies have been up for a few weeks already. I have to start planning on what I want to plant in my garden's this year. It's hard when you've got more shade than sun.
Not too much else on my agenda today. I didn't get done with all my laundry yesterday so I'm hoping to get that done during the kids' quiet time today. I have no clue what to make for dinner tonight... really getting sick of making/eating the same ol things all the time. I wish I was Samantha Stevens and could blink myself a meal at the end of my day. (so it looked like I slaved over the stove all day) Lately it's just been so hard trying to find something that everyone likes. Ugh!
Anyway... hope you all have a great day! Take care...
tacos, spaghetti, chili, soup, meatloaf???
DS is home today. He got a raging ear infection over the weekend and hasn't been sleeping well. I have tons of laundry to do, plus getting this house back together after the long weekend. DD has softball practice tonite.
Morning all, work, then home for some laundry, dinner and family time, promised dd we would finish her Madeline story book tonight.
Weather is wild this morning, foggy and cold, but we are expecting a high of 70.
I am feeling extremely FAT, haven't been working out as much as I would like, since my lower back has been acting up....feel like I am outta control on the weight again. Thinking of how I would feel if I lost 20 pounds, hopeing to catch my motivation.
Have a great Tues. all

Got back from Florida late yesterday afternoon. I started unpacking, but quit when I saw the enourmous laundry pile. ;) We had a blast and wonderful weather while we were there. Trying to get back in the swing of 'real life' again - the past week just went tooooo fast. :\

RCT if you find some motivation send a little my way. I've put 20 pounds back on and I only have one pair of jeans I can wear. I got rid of all my fat clothes. wah.....
I have my nephew this week. He is a doll and wants to stay for 3 weeks. I just love that he loves to be here! Today I am working, my inlaws are keeping the kids. Tonight we actually have nothing in the plans, which is amazing. I hope to watch Somethings Gotta Give or Cheaper By the Dozen. We bought both of them and haven't watched them yet.
I hope your ds gets to feeling better AnnW.
I ended up getting a root canal last week. I was in so much pain. Thankfully they got me right in. I have to go back for a crown in a couple of weeks.
Have a great day all!

Morning all,
Ran to the mall this morning and picked up a few things I needed.
Also splurged and now I feel guilty. Bought myself a digital camera..
Now I `need to do some laundry and vacuming..DH is out of town and I have a meeting tonight so my Mom is coming to watch DS'S so I should get this house at least tidied..
Hope you all have a great day.
JAK, good luck with your dryer.
Diane, I hear you about Samantha Stevens.
Ann, hope your ds feels better soon; I can empathize with him re: the ear pain as I get ear infections myself.
RCT, hope you find your motivation.
Karla, welcome back. Glad you had a good time.
Angie, I want to see those movies too.
Rhonda, have fun with your new camera.
Meatloaf...meatloaf, or meatloaf. Get a package of Meatloaf Seasoning, mix as directed, toss in the oven for an hour, and you're good to go.
Is nice on the plate with veggies or with gravy over it...make sandwiches with it, or whatever.
That'd be my vote.
BTW...I'm new here. I'm a homeschooling dad of two sons 11 and 12. This is our first year to HS.

:) Welcome...
No running around to do today! :) Ds1 is still sick and stayed home again today. I think he'll be up to returning to school tomorrow though. Ds2 ended his eating strike this morning with a full bowl of oatmeal sweetened w/applesauce, 1/3 of a banana, 3/4 of an apple and a bunch of fruit loops. 8o That'll probably tide him over for a few days now, lol!
Laundry and a bit of cleaning on the agenda for this afternoon.
Welcome to the IB, MelC! I'm a sahm of four and homeschool my two daughters 12 and 7. :)

Another grey, rainy blahhh day. Glad to get the kids back to school anyway. Easter was busy. We got together with Dh's family Fri/Sat. and mine Sun./Mon. Glad to be home and getting everyone back on routine.
The kids went to an egg hunt at the rec. centre at my Mom's place. Every kid gets to find three real eggs and one plastic one. The plastic eggs have tokens in them that can be traded in for a 1lb chocolate bunny. 10 eggs have special tokens as well that you trade in for prizes. Megan won a wooden wagon filled with toys. (Large stuffed bunny, sand toys, bubbles, ball etc) I must say I had a few others with noses out of joint when they didn't win anything, but they got over it. The girls are pretty good to share everything with each other - just no-one else.

What is it about tuesdays lately....Today was awlful.
It was picture day at daycare (which is crazy in it's self) Then one staff went home sick/mental exhaustion. Another did not show so my boss took a co-workers child home since there was no room for their kids...and she ended up falling and breaking her arm...8o So her other daughter took bus to day care and I stayed an hour late to help her with homework. I'm so ready for an office job...LOL.
Needless to say it was a busy day!

How long will you be there and where are you staying? It flew by for us this time - wish we would have stayed longer. Have fun!! :)
