Could ya'll say a prayer for my grandma. She had a heart attack and I am worried. :( They think it was 'mild' however she is almost 83 (although she moves around like she is 50!) and she'll be in the hospital until next week. She still has an irregular heart beat that they are watching. Once/if that goes away they need to do a stress test. If it doesn't go away on it's own she'll need a pacemaker. She's out of state and wish I couyld just be there with her. This actually happened a couple of days ago, but she is so independent and tried to convince herself she just had the flu. :( Anyway, I'd appreciate any and all prayers. :tinysmile

Sending good thoughts! I know how hard it is to be far from the ones we care about. Try to think positive. Keeping buzy helps you to do that (atleast for me it does).

Thanks so much everyone!!
I actually ended up going to see her yesterday with my sister. We had brunch with my mom and I asked my sister if she was up for a road trip LOL because I had my bag packed and was ready to go. Youngest ds stayed with my mom, oldest ds and dh headed home, and I was off. We surprised my grandma and my cousin took a picture of her reaction as we walked in the door. :) Anyway, things look so much better. She had a pacemaker put in today and they hope to let her go home on Wed!! :yippee: Got back tonight, snuggled with my dks, and counted my blessings. :tinysmile Thanks again for the prayers and support!!

What a nice surprise you gave her by showing up... I'll bet she was happy to see all of you. I'm glad to hear that she's doing much better... that they got the pacemaker in and that she'll be going back home on Wednesday. I'll bet she can't wait. What a happy ending!! :)

Thanks Diane - it really is a happy ending. She is so excited that she'll be going home and that she won't need any home type care/assistance. I don't think half of those nurses believed she was almost 83. :D
What great news and a wonderful surprise you gave her!

update
Need those prayers to keep coming. :( They did a stress test yesterday and discovered blockage in the front of her heart that they didn't think was there. She is having an angiogram today and then we'll see where we go from there.
Thanks again everyone!!!
