Im about to lose it!!!

I swear Im on the verge of popping a blood vessel in my brain!!!!

This %*#&% sprinkler system I have is the last straw!! Farrah and gary have come to my house at least 5 times to fix broken pipes and set the timer for them. They had them set to go off 10 min. everyday. Well 10 minutes doesn't do jack on a lawn in Colorado (its too arid). I had Farrah come over on Monday to change it (on the advice of ChemLawn and my neighbor) to 30 min. 4x's a week for a better soaking. Today was suppose to be an off day and the %*%$$ thing was going on this morning. I call Gary and told him and he gets irritated at ME for changing it in the first place. HE goes on about how he is going to have to page Farrah AGAIN and how he is at school-blablah blah. Now Im irritated at myself for needing their help and being portrayed as this pathetic housewife, so I said forget it, I'll do it myself and hung up. This thing has no instructions on it. Property Mgmt. has been no help and don't return my calls. The owner doesn't give a doo doo about the place. I pay Rent and I pay for the water to get a green lawn--why am I the B%&ch for wanting a decent house and lawn??

Sorry to spout off. All this responsiblity on my shoulders is getting to me. I just want ONE thing to go right the first time around. Its like banging your head against the wall. It takes 6 times to get something done!!!!

Ugh! Sorry to hear things are going bad :( and hope they arelooking up soon. Stand your ground and call until things are in working order - that is your right!!!

I can relate....We had a problem with a brand new oven leaking gas a few years ago and every time the guys had to come back they acted like I was a total pain in the rear and they would sigh the entire time they were here. It was SO uncomfortable. They would even go as far as to tell me that the gas wasn't dangerous and that there was a scent added to it so people could smell it. (Duh - exactly my point - a scent was added for a reason!!!) We even had the gas company here once at one in the morning! Anyway, they eventually installed a new oven for us and it also leaked. We finally called someone else to repair it and it never leaked again!!!

Hang in there Amy and vent away when you need to!!!

Doesn't it seem like when DH is gone things like this happen and then you feel stupid because you can't fix it. I understand your frustration. Things like that happen to me all the time. Especially things like NOT having instructions for something that I could probably fix if I did have them.
Anyway, I hope things get better for you today. What a way to start off. Here's to a better day... :D

I was deathly afraid to touch the stupid system, but I did it out of pure spite! LOL I figured out what the guy did wrong and fixed it myself. The property Mgmt girl is coming out tomorrow to look at the dirt patches-maybe I can convince her to get new sprinkler heads for this one area. She is on my side, but she said the owner is adamant about spending any money on this place. They just received a bill for $200 from fixing all the pipes and she said the man won't be happy. Too freakin bad!!

I feel much better now. Thanks for letting me vent.

ps. It was a Hardie Irrigation system and they went out of business!

I'm glad you got stubborn and went out and figured it out yourself... LOL That's exactly what I probably would have done!!! I'd show them I didn't need them... LOL I can't believe the attitude they're giving you though... it isn't YOUR fault that they screwed up. If they had done it right in the first place YOU wouldn't have to be calling them for help all the time either. ugh!!! I hope the property management lady will be able to help you out with everything else... have you put down any grass seed? Hope it all turns out okay for you... good luck!!!

Sorry you're having a rough time and I don't really have any suggestions other than looking for a manual online or calling Home Depot and asking for help? Do you have a handy neighbor?

Heck ya I have! ROFL!! I even went as far as to ask him if he uses a curling iron on his hair. He laughed and told me no and that he has naturally wavy hair. To complete his look he drives around town in a mint 1979 gold camaro.
