Finally! I'm going to a used curriculum fair with a friend in the "big city" this morning and dh offered to not only take care of our four kids but her two as well. :) I don't have plans to buy anything but am quite excited about getting out of the house for a few hours, lol!

Hope you all have a great day! :)

The rest of my family is at cub scout camp for the weekend...so I'm having a fabulous weekend of quiet :) . (I'm a teeny bit lonely, but I'm sure I'll get over it ;) ) Last night I went out for a couple of drinks with some friends...and this morning I'm so hoarse! Lots of talking and laughing last night. Today I've got to work on report cards, and clean up this place. It's a beautiful day outside.

I expected to wake up to rain... but instead the sun was shining and the birds were singing. I layed there for a while and just enjoyed being able to and then decided I'd better get up. :)

I'm picking my mom up to go run a few errands, one of which of course includes Wal Mart. LOL I don't know what she (actually "we") would do without Wal Mart. :) I only wish there was one a little bit closer to home. With the gas prices as high as they are... by the time we get done doing all of our running it's time to fill the gas tank again. :( I'm sure we'll be hitting a few of the dollar stores that are on the way and then I'll come back home for the rest of the day and hopefully get some more (never ending) yard work done.

Dd #2 and her bf are going out to look for apartments today. After going with other for 6 year's, I guess they decided it's time to move in with each other. Actually... his car will be paid off in a month and he'll finally be able to afford to do it. I would normally not like this arrangement, but in this case I have to admit that I feel a lot better about them living together first than getting married... just to make sure they can live with each other. I use to not like/care for him a whole lot, but within the past year or so he's really changed quite a lot, but IMHO is still quite the moody guy. You never know what he's going to be like from one day to another. He's a pretty serious guy... never see/hear him laugh a whole lot. He also doesn't like to do a whole lot, hasn't got any friends to speak of. Is pretty much a homebody... which is all totally the opposite of my dd. I think some of her fun/cheery attitude/personality is rubbing off on him though, so maybe in time. :) Anyway, although I'm sure I'll miss having her around, I'm anxious to have my room empty/free again.

Anyway... better get going or I'll be late picking my mom up. Our sun has suddenly dissappeared, so maybe we'll get that darn rain after all. (Of course, it's the WEEKEND!!!) lol

Talk later...

I have to laugh at how my summer is stacking up. DD can stay at the pool by herself now (yes, there are lifeguards) so she packed herself a lunch yesterday, went off to swim team at 10 and came home at 3. DS woke up around 11, hangs around in his room playing video then leaves to go "chill" (you know he needs down time cause it's been a rough day! LOL) at a friend's about 10 minutes before DD comes home. DD then "chills" (rough day at the pool) cleans her room and just hangs out. She gets a call to go to the pool and have dinner with a friend. DS was still chilling at the friends' and was going to stay for dinner.
I just sort of played on the computer all day and/or read magazines...I could get used to this! dh and I ran and grabbed a quick dinner, dd got home around 9:30, ds ended up spending the night out.
Not sure what today holds! LOL

Ann, your life is starting to sound like mine, lol. Love your new Avatar btw.

Got up early, did some light housework, showered and washed my hair...did a pretty good job with my new cut. Went to ds's football game and then we went out with friends to St. Jacobs and did some shopping at their outdoor market and outlet stores. Bought myself two new pairs of capri type pants and a wrap around skirt type thing for over a bathing suit. Just "chilling" now and will probably bbq if the rain holds off.

Went to a neighbor's graduation open house this morning and then youngest ds had his first t-ball game this morning - what fun!! :D Dh is working at the golf course today. I took dks out to lunch, we rented a few movies and then stopped to see dh for a bit. Nothing planned for the rest of the day. We went fishing last night and got home late. I'd like to nap, but really need to clean and do laundry.

Pam - How nice of your dh! Hope you had fun!!

Mary - Sounds like a fun night out! :)

Braeden spent the night last night. He slept from 9:30 till 6:50 this morning.:yippee: We were off to Wal-mart by 8:00, back at 10:30. Dil picked him up at 11:00. I threw dinner in the crock pot then went to pick up my mom to go to lunch with my sisters and a baby shower for my niece. Might try to get dh to go to the movies tonight. That's it for me in my neck of the woods.

afternoon all, Kids and DH did the camping thing in our backyard last night, so cute....I hit the bubble bath, I don't think I have been in a tub for that long in about 8 years! it was really nice...I didn't easedrop on them and it was a giggle for me....they made smores in the hibachi....very cute....they all slept pretty good, I of course tossed and turned with one ear on them in case some on got spooked.....woke up to fresh coffee and breakfast in bed.

We then hit the showers and went for a little shopping spree, There is a New Balance outlet near our house and we all got new shoes....only cost me $120.00 for four pairs ..... I love a good deal!

going to order Pizza tonight and we have rented Moster for when the kids are in bed....should be a lovely night....I really enjoy the weekends lately.

Renee, I had to re-read your post. Thought you rented Monster for the kids. I was telling my sister today I wanted to rent that one myself. Glad the kids will be in bed.

Happy Saturday!
All four munchkins were off to a b'day party at SIL's house this afternoon and dh golfing with his buddies so had the house to myself. Should have caught up on some work, but took the leisure time to pamper myself instead.
We still have baby Mayson staying with us. His mom has regained conciousness, but is having a lot of trouble with memory and motor function. They say it should come back at least 85-90% in time, possibly more. She is out of ICU and may be released by the end of the week to her parents care with a personally hired caregiver. Not sure what is happening with Mayson. She obviously can't take care of him and her parents are too old to be looking after a baby full time ( both in mid to late 80's) . There is no other family to take him either. They have asked about us keeping him until she is able to do so herself.( which could be months to years) It is something we will have to think about.
Tomorrow after mass is our Church picnic at the local park. Hopfully the rain will hold off.

Ann - love the new avatar!!!!

Ryleigh...I feel so terrible about what has happened to this poor family. Thank goodness you are able to help out with the baby. Is there a news link you could share with us so that we can read about the accident...rescue, etc.? I continue to keep them all in my prayers.

I cleaned up some this morning and did laundry. Then we went to a friend's house for a bbq and swimming. Seems like we have been doing that a lot lately. it's nice because they have a pool in their back yard. My dks are getting really good at swimming.

Ann- I love your avatar!
