Morning everyone! No good morning post yet?
Survivor is on my mind!!! My dks want to stay up and watch but it only starts at 9 here and goes til midnight, so we will pull out the sofa bed and let them watch it from there.
I am really up in the air over who will win. I just hope it's not Keith!!!
We biked to school this morning, it was just gorgeous, supposed to get up to 28C (high 80s F) today, very unseasonable for us but hey we'll take it, almost beach weather!
Enjoy your day!
Morning! Not much on this am, but then a wild afternoon...ds to piano, helper at brownies, ds baseball, drop dd at a friends, go to middle school orientation, and then RUSH home for the last of Survivor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning! Not a very eventful day here. Dh and I spent the morning getting things ready for the movers. He is at softball practice now. I guess tonight we will get back to moving. Hope everyone has a great day!

MM! My cleaning girl is here today. She's doing the windows, screens and floors. yuck.
I forgot to add, "we" named the puppy Trixie.
I have a nail appointment at 1:30, have to dash to the bank first, then maybe over to the local garden center for some more flowers for the front garden.
AnnW- I see on CNN Texas is having some tax issue problems. They're trying to give all the schools the same amount of $. Seems there's a state wide fund, not per district.. Have you heard anything else on your local news ?
ßß!
Arianna...don't know what the new report is but this has been an issue for years. It has been nicknamed the "Robinhood" plan..you know take from the rich and give to the poor. There is a state fund and then there are district funds that raise their money through property taxes..some areas have a higher values/more taxable entities than others resulting in more money.
That is why my school must raise about $75,000 every year to make up for what we don't receive in state funding.
Will have to check to see what's causing it to be brought up again.

Not much for plans today. The dks and dh get haircuts afterschool. I made a point to reserve the evening for Survivor! Pathetic, huh? LOL!
I am envious of those of you with cleaning gals!!!
Dh took youngest ds to the dr yesterday afternoon. I went upstairs to get laundry and when I came back down he was :bawling: and wouldn't walk. This lasted for FOUR hours. He even woke up from his nap crying and refusing to walk. His foot was somewhat swollen and he kept saying owie. So, afterschool dh took him to the dr - wouldn't you know once they got there he was FINE! Aargh!! However, when they got home he was whimpering again, but was fine when dh took him to class. He's not quite 2 - seems a little young to have this much ability to exaggerate an injury?! LOL!
Leigh - Good luck with the rest of your moving!!! :)
Good morning, although it's closer to lunch now. It's a beautiful day here in southern Ontario too and this afternoon I'm going to paint my outside doors a mustardy/goldy colour. I can't wait. I also can't wait for Survivor tonight and will allow ds to stay up to watch as well, but he'll go to bed before the hour special following.

Hi everyone!!
It is a gloomy, rainy, windy day here. I am working hard on not letting my attitude mirror the weather. They are getting snow in Denver. Amy/CO have you gotten snow too? springtime in the rockies. :)
I am going to get my hair highlighted this morning. I am starting to see gray in it and I refuse to have gray hair. My db says I am being vain. I just say I am aging gracefully!! Did any of you see Oprah yesterday? She was talking about aging-I enjoyed it!!
One of my last times to volunteer today. The boys are done w/school June 1st and w/the end of yr activities I only get to volunteer in their classes a couple more times. I really enjoy it!!
After school the boys get their hair cut into their summer do-buzzed! It is so easy to take care of and nice and cool too. We are supposed to have soccer practice but I am hoping it is cancelled!! The grass is so wet it will be miserable.
Ann-hard to believe ds is ready for middle school!! Yikes!
Have a great day everyone! :bunny:

Howdy,
It is a slow morning for me. I am feeling grumpy and not motivated. I ate terrible foods this am and feeling yucky in the tummy!! I hope the day gets better.
I am trying oxi-clean this morning. I have a tile shower that does not get the attention it needs. Anywho, I have tackled the corners of it this am. I hope this works. Next, I hope to work on the spare bedroom some. Just hard to get moving.
I hope everyone else is having a great day!!
I was out in the sunshine gardening at 9 this morning...its beautiful here, around the low 80's right now, got the hummingbird feeders full and hung, weeded the yucky garden, it's pretty but it has the toughest weeds...made some pansy flower boxes, and just had fun....just had lunch and got a phone call to get my but in gear to make reservations and buy those plane tickets.....so I am off to the travel.com site and then I will call an airline.....hope thats the way...I will use a credit card and then be reimbursed the money from my benefactor...LOL....angel....have a great day all....Have to tape Survior for dh, but I am so looking forward to seeing it tonight...YIPPEE....
well, it did snow all night and we have about 3-4 inches so far. Now they are saying in might snow all day and into tomorrow! So we'll see. The dk's are exciting and dd can't wait until after school so she can play in it. She doesn't get out of school until 3:30 so she be able to play a bit before we have dinner and baths done in time to watch Suvivor at 7.
Have a great day- or should I say afternoon everybody. With the time difference most of you are about 1/2 way done with your day!
Kinda cloudy and breezy here today. We had a special breakfast for our Principal today. Tomorrow is his last day before he prepares for lung cancer surgery on the 9th. The kids made cards and we took them over this am. I nearly broke down and so did he.
We just got back from a picnic honoring all our readers. We awarded top prizes, teachers got pie in the face and water balloons and then lunch on the grounds. the kids had a grand time. Sun came out about 10 minutes before we came in and really warmed things up.
got the hummingbird feeders full and hung, Renee could you come hang mine. I still haven't done it. I took my coffee to the porch with me when I let the dog out and thought about them yet again. I vow right now to fill those blasted things before survivor tonight! It was so nice listening to the birds sing early this am.

Hello Everyone!! It is a gorgeous day here, sure could use some rain though!
I have been so busy lately that I thought I wouldn't make it. The first 15 days of May are crazy!! Then this morning dd woke up with a fever. Took her to the ped. and she has sinusitis. So, no MOPs today, dh will take ds to soccer tonight, no playgroup tomorrow, cancelled Creative Memories Party. Dh and I are signed up for the mini marathon Saturday (I am doing the 5K) so MIL will keep the kids while we do that. I feel like someone was telling me to slow down.
Oh, dd will not take her medicine, Biaxin?, I have tried applesauce, pudding, milk, holding her down, nothing works. I tasted it and it is like milk of magnesia with sand in it and an aftertaste that is putrid. What is up with these drug companies! Don't they know we have to ingest this stuff! :grimace: Twice a day for 14 days!
On a good note our builder came out and hydro-seeded our lawn for free this morning!! :yippee: We had a bunch of dead spots so hopefully this will take care of it.
I will probably watch the hour long friends tonight, then flip over to Survivor. Survivor is 2 hours tonight??? right??

I got my kids up and outside early because it looked like rain... and then it never did. LOL Dd came over to help me and we decided to eat a picnic lunch outside. We didn't come IN for quiet time until about 1:30. Needless to say, they were all pretty tired by that time. It was a very nice and peaceful afternoon. LOL :)

You're not whining! It's a BIG job!! I'll be in your spot this summer and I'm only moving 15 minutes away! I can't wait to be in our new house, but I dread packing and unpacking. Any way to skip that part w/o hiring movers? LOL!

The apartment management company bought in a NEW stove. :yippee:
I've been cooking with the toaster oven for 2 weeks because they haven't been able to fix my old one. With their track record, I was expecting them to hall in one from the dump. But no... this one matches my refrigerator and everything. And to think, 2 weeks ago I actually contemplated cleaning my oven!
