My dh bought his tickets to Boston from Priceline. The only thing is you don't get to have a choice on what time you leave!

I called ATA yesterday and their recorded answering message said that you can get the best fare by using their internet site. I was checking on tickets that we had already purchased so I didn't go to the site.

If we can be flexible about times, we use Priceline and, except one case, have had surprisingly good departure times and connections. If we can't be flexible about times (i.e., travelling with dd and needing to work around her sleep schecule) we start with Travelocity which will give you the best fare then show you the days it is available (if your dates are flexible) and then let you pick the flights. Also, the airlines' websites sometimes have special e-fares. I also check other sites for good fares, just to try to be thorough:

Good luck!

thanks for all the links, the price has jumped $500. since I was quoted last week, or the week before, I did talk to someone at Continnental, and he told me that next wed. the fare will drop again...LOL if I can get back to the price I first told my angel...then I will be happy, she said she already cut me a check..LOL....well, we'll see how I do in the next week....thanks again all...

When i purchased my tickets to NY, I bought them off off Travelocity.com. They had a special deal with Delta that gave me companion fares (my kids traveled for half price :D). I tried calling Delta to order the tickets, but they didn't have the same fare and the same departures. She said they must have a contract with travelocity. I reallyy liked ordering from them. you can pick your own seats too. What are your dates and where are you flying into?
