View Full Version : Survivor Soundoff
Well tonight was THE night! Did it end like you thought it would? I was happy for Tina, and Colby ... he looked nice without all the whiskers! He also looked much heavier since the Outback. When did this really end? I heard someone say something say about Thanksgiving. Were they not allowed to discuss being the last two? I didn't watch the first Survivor so I am a little confused.
I actually would have been happy either way!! Didn't get to see Keith bounced off...darn it! But I was happy for Tina.
I think it started in October and went for 43 days....

I would have been happy had either won, too...but when Colby voted out Keith instead of Tina (I thought voting out Tina would have won him the game), I was rooting more for Colby at that point.
I didn't see all the shows, but Tina did let Keith win immunity earlier in the game so that their tribe stayed strong and that was nice. But, she also went through Kel's bag and I thought that stunk.
Colby played strategically, but I didn't see him do any back stabbing (he didn't, did he?) and he was strong and won all those immunity challenges. I consider that part of being worthy of winning--winning the immunity challenges.
Didn't like Debb when she was on that one show, but I felt sorry for her at the reunion.
Still can't stomach Jerri.
Liked the ending of this one better than the first.
I could not believe Colby voting off Keith. In a way it did make me like him more because then it was a "horse" race in the end. (and proved to be with the tight vote)
But then I thought it was a little mean spirited in that he just did not want Keith to win even the $100,000. It was the one wrong move he made, but gutsy I'll give him that.

I am thrilled Tina won, thought it was very interesting that Colby basically handed it to her by voting off Keith. Also thoguht the 2 hour show could've easily been 1, it was very long and drawn out, but I enjoyed it none the less.
Did Bryant Gumbel say he was the same age as Rodger???
Anyone going to watcht he special next week with them arriving home? I am!
Not just girl power but OLD LADY POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's hear for the over 40 set!!!!!!!!! :happydnc:
Debb just broke my heart last night too. :bigcry:
But I don't remember the press being so bad to her, do ya'll?
Colby did backstab Jerri, but who cares! :newwink:
Deb was brutalized because it was humiliating to be the first voted off and more importantly it got leaked that she married her dead husband's son.

That's right...I have forgotten that!

I thought I wouldn't care who won as long as it was Tina or Colby, but yet when she won I couldn't believe it and kind of wished it would have been him. I think physically he proved to be the best survivor and I don't think she would have gotten that far without him.
I forgot that info about Debb, too! I did feel sorry for her, too last night. She seemed so uneasy.
I did hear Bryant say he and Rodger are the same age!!
I heard someone say on some show that they got home in time for the holidays - I think meaning Christmas. What a long time to wait for the outcome!
I think it was lame of Jerri to vote for Tina - only bcuz I think she was holding a grudge against Colby for not wanting her. She still irritates me!
btw - Has anyone seen the movie preview with Colleen from the first Survivor?

8o I had not heard that. I did feel very bad for her last night.
Well, if you read my "can't believe I did this" post, you'll know I didn't see the show, but I have to give my .02 worth anyway!
I'm glad Tina won over Colby. Girl power! Woman power! Old lady power! (Hey, who are you calling OLD, Ms. Joan!) Plus, I think he kept winning immunity because he was the only one EATING!
I didn't realize that Colby and Tina had such a strong alliance. I had thought her alliance was more with Keith, but I guess she fooled me!
Poor Deb, I heard that was pretty sad, but personally, I thought she was pathetic because she choose EYE LINER as her luxury item! Hello?!
Of course Jerri voted against Colby. He really snowed her. Totally. I would have done the same.
I am so bummed I missed it, but oh well...

....that by applying to be on a show like that, with literally millions of people watching your life unfold, that you are in a sense opening yourself up for the tabloids to feed on?
I felt sorry for Deb too, and I think what the tabloids do to people is terrible, but it is very much a part of our media-hungry society so I cannot believe that it came as that much of a shock to her.
I lovedit when Kel said he had forgiven Jerri, but he still didn't like her and she wouldn't be getting a Christmas card from him! lol!
I think Colby was the best....Tina should be so thrilled to have had an alliance with him...they are both winners.....
Loved the banter between Kel and Jerri...to funny....
Can't wait for the africa one...

I agree he snowed her, however IMO you could tell she still totally wanted him and voted against him only to make a point. I felt like her question for him last night was a "test" to see if his regret would include something about her and that she based her decision on that....? Maybe it all just boils down to that she bugs me! LOL
Did "Mag Dog" get on anyone else's nerves last night (and this am on CBS if you saw it) with her somewhat pathetic attempt to draw attention to herself?? She kept speaking in sound bites!!!! I think she even got on Bryant's nerves and that's saying something!!!! LOL

I totally agree with you, she was begging for attention. I thought it was so rude the way she kept interupting Bryant. I told my husband she acted like she had a few drinks before the show.

YES! I missed her this morning, but I also saw her when she was first voted off and she was the same way! She even sang a song! She is SO annoying and seems just a little desperate for attention! LOL!

I knew that it was going to be between Colby and Tina. Of course Colby could have voted off Tina and won all the money, but he stuck to his promise to Tina that they would be the last too.
I figured that Tina would probably win it because I knew there was no way Jeri would vote for Colby because he didn't play her fantasy with her  with all that chocolate talk. She really bugs me.
I still like Colby....very respectful of him. I do think he looked much better in the Outback. I think he suited the rugged look, and a little less weight than the reunion.
Great for Tina....she was very strong strategically and mentally. I am glad for her too.
