And I'm actually energized....Could it be the fact that I rested all weekend or the fact that I know it's my last week. They even called me and told me I could come in a half hour later today.

Not much planned....I need to write a letter to the dcks parents saying that I'm leaving. Can't decide what to say. As much as the job stresses me I'm going to miss it.:(

Well here's to a Good day!

Not too much planned today. Still waiting for my day care family to show up. They've been so inconsistent with their drop off times lately and I'm really getting frustrated with it. They'll be here any time between 7:00 and 10:30. 8o

Got a little bit of laundry to do, some light house cleaning and that's about it. I put a roast in the crock-pot so I won't have to worry about making supper later. I guess it's going to be an easy day today. :)
Hope you all have a good day!

Diane...

Good Monday morning!

Glad to hear you are feeling rested, Vea.

Diane, it would tick me off too, having sporadic drop-off times.

Work today. DS is at a golf/basketball camp at the university this week, so he was able to drive into work with me. I hope he has fun. He sure wasn't pleased that I signed him up for this, lol, but I wasn't having him sit around all summer doing nothing. I may even sign him up for the rock climbing camp in August.

DH is off this week and is busily working on our basement bathroom. I'm anxious for it to be done.

My house is a disaster! DD and I were so tired Saturday when we got home that we just dumped her stuff in the den. It's still there! LOL
DS has a tournament today. This is at my father's club so he should do well.

Got up at 4 am and we left by 4:45 for the airport. It sure is strange having the house to myself and it's only been a few hours. I have to work today and I'm going to one of the car dealerships in town. I'm thinking about trading in my truck for a SUV. We'll see if they give me what I want for my truck and make me a deal on a new car. If not, I'll keep my truck a few more years and then trade it in. I think there are about 9 dealerships within 50 miles of my house. Hopefully someone will work with me.

Jen we broke down a couple of months ago and bought a Tahoe, and I love it. It's a gas pig, but we knew that when we bought it. I would never drive a big V8 if I didn't have a need (hauling our horse to horse shows all summer) but it is really nice to drive. I'm really looking forward to blasting it through a huge snowbank this winter too :D Hope you find a deal you like!

Spent this morning playing with ds3. Now the boys are playing video games with him. I am trying to catch up on laundry and get the bedding washed.
What a busy weekend. Sil and her crew did come and stay on Fri. night. I also babysat a neighbours daughter for the night. And dh was away. Finally got some grocery shopping done yesterday and managed to find some kids clothes on clearance at the grocery store's sidewalk sale. I only bought for the older ones since the baby has plenty and the boys will need clothes to go back to school in. Some t-shirts are okay but some have ice cream stains. Now if I can find them jeans on sale like that it would be great.

Last week of summer camp. I'm glad. Two weeks off - then school starts. Can't believe it. Where did the summer go.

Weather is wild here. It's about 75 today and not expected to get much higher than 80 all week. I actually had to wear 3/4 sleeves today. Leaving the windows open to air out the house.

My house is a wreck too. Kept Braeden Sat/Sun. He just pulls out everything he can get into. Dh installed more cabinet locks late Sun. We had only cabinets with poisonous things locked, but now have decided to lock all but one plastics cabinet. His big thing now is to play in the toilets since he can lift the lid. Now all doors must be closed. It won't be long though before he can turn the door knobs. They grow so fast.

After camp today I have to do the shopping I didn't get done this week end. We did manage to get two overgrown flower beds torn up and/or trimmed back and reshaped. I need to pick up some new plants at the nursery. What a great week weather-wise to get them all planted.

Hope everyone has a good week. Don't know how often I'll get a chance to check back in this week.

Afternoon all. Got the walls of the bedroom primed this morning. :yippee:
Have to finish sanding the hallway and then get that primed as well.

Headed out to the lake this afternoon with friends. HOT again today.

Think I'll take dd into the clinic this afternoon when we get back. She has been fighting a cold for 3 weeks now, and is back to having a low fever all weekend. Our family dr. is away on holidays, so we are stuck with the walk in dr. Waiting for him/her is usually around 2-3 hours :\ and I don't feel like wasting the whole afternoon there. Think we will stop in around 4....they close at 5 so you are pretty much guaranteed only 1 - 1.5 hour wait.

:)

AaaaaaaaaaHHHH!!!!! Today was the first day of vacation bible school at our church. I'm helping in crafts and our first group had 85 kids!!!! 8o That's about 40 more than we'd planned for. The second and third groups weren't too much bigger than planned, but it was such a zoo!!! We'll probably have around 300 kids total by the end of the week. 8o The other thing that makes it difficult is that we're outside on the back patio. I think next year I'll volunteer for the one classroom with air conditioning!!!!

We get our carpet tonight!!! :yippee: Tonight's my night out so I should be coming home to a nice, carpeted bedroom. :) I'm moving our bed out of the schoolroom tomorrow afternoon if it kills me! That way dh can come home to one less job to do. We still have to paint the closet and the master bath, but that can be done later. It'll be nice to sleep in our room again. :)

Hope your dd gets better soon. The wait at the clinic sounds like a real drag.

I'm studying for my midterm today, really....

I had fun at the BBQ last night. My friend brought over her date who is probably the most beautiful man I've ever seen in person. He works as a fire twirler at some of the feasible around town. I don't think he earns much money though because apparently he can't afford a shirt. 8o

A Tahoe. Funny that's what Kathy just bought. Didn't really find one I liked at the dealer here in town. They were all over priced and overloaded for what I am looking for. I spent some time on the internet looking at dealers inventories this afternoon and have pretty much decided to wait. I don't want leather, I don't want a DVD player and I really don't want to pay for the Eddie Bauer edition. Looks like that's about all that's left over in the inventory at the dealers around here. I'll have to wait for the 2005's to arrive and maybe I'll look again then. I love my truck, so I don't feel bad about not being able to find something.

Yah, It was really something. It's been kind of a weird summer. He and his twin brother have a fire twilling act. I guess they're coming to my friend's birthday party this week to preform. Maybe shirts are a hazard in that line of work.

Jen, I have a Yukon, they are essentially the same car. I love mine, but they have horrible blind spots! Also, the back seat has very little leg room. My son and his friends sit back there with their knees in their ears! LOL DH is going to be buying a pick up soon, so I am wanting to get back to the 7 or 8 passenger car. I have never believed in buying foreign cars, but that Toyota Sequoia is a great car.

I sat in the third row of the Tahoe and your right there is very little leg room. My sil has a Surburan (your dh has your old one right? ) and that was much better, but I don't think I really want something that big. Not that it's that big, I think it's just a little bigger than my truck, it's just all covered. We'll see what happens when the time is right.

I LOVE Toyotas. They are the best cars/trucks.... those things run forever. My dh's truck in AK was a toyota that had more than 150,000 miles on it and ran like a champ. They hold there resale value better than some cars as well.

Tahoe makes a 3 row car? didn't know that. I have the short Yukon...no leg room.
Yep, he has my old one. This past weekend we rode up to camp in our friend's '04 Suburban..what a nice truck...such improvements! She has the 2/2/bench set up, I would get that in a flash if I got a new one...she also has the drop down dvd..worth every penny! LOL

I would have been scared to open my mouth for fear that drool would come pouring out. :biglaugh:

ROFL! Wouldn't she fall over laughing if you sent a thank you card?
