View Full Version : Monday
Woke up at 6 and couldn't go back to sleep. My dad's wife is a dance teacher and she has a summer day camp. It starts today and dd is going to do it for the week. She turned the guest house at my dad's house into her studio so it's going to be there. I think dd will have fun.

Ann... I hope your dd has a lot of fun!
Not too much on my agenda for the day. It's very hot/humid (it's suppose to be the most hot/humid day of the year) and were suppose to have storms today. It's still dark to the point where the street lights are still on. 8o 8o 8o Looks like we'll be playing in the house today.
Got some laundry, light dusting and vacuuming... and I'm done for the day. Hope you all have a good one!
Diane...
Good morning! I'm still sleepy and there's so much that needs to be done today! Grocery shopping is at the top of the list... right up there with laundry. Between the 3 weeks of vacation and the week of vbs I'm not so good about my routines anymore and need to jump back in with both feet. (It would be immensely helpful if the computer would crash right about now, or the IB would be down for a bit! ) The girls need to get back into the routine of school, and ds back into the routine of getting ready for school. We really don't change bedtimes or wake up times during the summer, so that part won't be hard. He rides the "big bus" this year, instead of the special ed bus that picked him up and dropped him off at our door. :( I'm going to miss that security!
Tonight's my night out and I'm looking forward to the quiet solitude!
Haven't been sleeping really well since everyone's been gone. Got up at 6:30 even though I was still dead tired. All I was doing was rolling around anyway. Have a list of things I need to do today. Most of them are phone calls.
My neighbor has turned out to be more than I can bare and she's a bit of a loon. I knew I should have kept my distance like I usually do, but I was trying to be nice and helpful. Oh well, at least I work all week and my family comes home Friday. I'm hoping that dh will scare her off. I know he will hate her.
Ann-hope dd has fun.
Diane-I hate humidity. UGH!
Pam-I hear you about the routine thing. I sure am out of mine right now and you can tell by looking at my house.
Just having kind of a hanging out day today. It's a holiday today so can't do my regular monday grocery shopping. Ds was home this weekend again, was excited to meet his niece. He just left a little while ago. Went to the city yesterday and hit a 50% off sale on baby clothes, so of course the gramma instincts came out and baby has a pile of new outfits. Grampa didn't want to be left out so he bought her her camping chair for next year!
Dd and family (sounds so cool) are coming over for supper tonight, so that's about it for today.

Dd has a dentist appointment today, and soccer practice this evening. This is the last practice before she finds out if she made the select soccer team. Need to fit grocery shopping in sometime today too.

Wow Ann, seems like you wake up too earily a lot. I hope your not sleep deprived.
I woke up at 7am and went to Yoga then I took a 2 hour nap. It's a really good class. I feel like I'm really getting something out of it. Funny thing is the Yogi is a man and nearly all the students are men. I'm usually the only woman in there. Even the instructor thinks it's strange and has actually been trying to recruit more women. I don't mind; everyone is nice and all. I do notice that there kind of a differant energy in the room. The class has a lot more structure than I'm used to.
Well I'm off to pay my nice a birthday present. :)

Where has this done gone? Guess I have accomplished alot. Got 2 coats of paint on the window trim....now for dh to put them up.
Got the play room cleaned up....it was the catch all while doing the bedroom.
Ds and I went through his dresser....he only needs new underwear before school starts. Just so you know how little he is....he just turned 10 and his underwear is a 6X!
Dh's granny is taking us out for supper so I don't have to figure out what to make. Think I'll go start my book and then catch Dr. Phil at 3. Trying to decide if I should phone our friends and tell them to watch on Wednesday....relationship rescue....might do them some good.

Sounds just like my nephew!! :tinysmile He turned 10 in June and he's in size 7...with a belt!! 8o He hates it, especially since my oldest ds is 7 and wears the same size as (if not bigger than) him.
Bummer for me because my ds used to get hand me downs from him. ;) Does your ds mind being smaller?

Got back late last night from my brother's. We had a really fun wknd. Drove into WI:) I realized on Saturday night that one of my dearest friends was only 45 minutes from where we were, so I called her, so we crossed the river into WI and we met half way on Sunday before we headed for home. It was so good to see her. She lives about 3.5 hours from me and I haven't seen her since her dh's bad accident a couple yrs ago, so it was a huge treat for me. :) Had a 'small world' moment when we were standing outside of this cheese factory in a town with a population of 395....one of our other high school friends and her dh walked up. They just happened to be passing thru the area and were stopping for lunch! 8o Turned into a mini reunion for us. :)
Worked at the Y this morning, dh went golfing and just got home. Youngest ds is at my mom's, so oldest ds and I spent the day together. Tonight I am going out with friend's/co-workers. We try to go to different places each time we go out....tonight we are going to a new Harley bar. LOL!

These comments had me LOL! I'm thinking you should tell your dh you love her and see if he's scared....bet then maybe he'd never leave you alone again. ;)
Hope you can avoid her enough so she doesn't drive you crazy. :crazyroll Maybe if you act nuttier than her you'll scare her away.

Well I made it through my first day!!
It was alittle overwhelming...but it seems cool. I just wish there was alittle more training. Maybe tomorrow...I'll ask for specific tasks. The took me too all the centers this morning and this afternoon I was reading files. But everyone seems nice. And helpful for the most part.
Think I'll go make dinner and veg out for the night!
