1st day of preschool craft to make and take home

I'm looking for an easy 1st day of preschool craft that 3&4 year olds can make and take home the same day.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Julie

Hi, I just recently found an idea from idea box and thought you may find it of some help. We took 4 cups flour, 1 cup salt, and enough water to moisten dough not to much though couse it will get sticky and become a mess(we found out the hard way) if that occurs addmore flour. Then on paper plate We put a big ball of dough I smashed it down smoothed it out, and shaped it into a heart. Then Cheyanne my 3 yr old(with my help) pressed her hand firmly into center of heart. In about a day the heart will dry. Then I tried somrthing of my own I covered the dried mold in elmers glue. Then let it dry. I will dry clear, and work like a gloss. you could also paint on the dried dough and put names like example: Cheyanne Sept. 23, 2004 Age 3 Well hope I could of been of some help.
