    Summer plans?

What are you all doing this summer? I'm not sure if we're going anywhere since it depends on whether or not dh can get off work. I'm planning on doing some fun unit studies with the kids (it'll be nice to have ds1 around! ), swimming, etc. The kids usually camp out in the back yard a lot during the summer, so I'm sure they're looking forward to that. The kids are begging to go back to Disney Land, but I don't think they remember how tired they were of it last time!

Dd1 and dh might go to Havasupai in the Grand Canyon again, this time with our church youth group. We also have Vacation Bible School at the end of July to look forward to.

It just seems like we never plan much, but in a way I like that, too!
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

We are going to Dewey Beach, Delaware at the end of June and camping at Letchworth State Park in August. Somewhere in between, I am going on another girl's trip-probably to Killington, Vermont with my friends. The think the rest of the time will be day trips to the Lakes, state Parks and water park.

DD and I are going to Washington, DC first of June for 5 days for the 5th grade trip. I am going to TN for my cousin's wedding the next week. The whole family was going, but now dh can't get away, ds has church work camp and dd has theater so I am going alone for 10 days. DS might be going to Canada for 10 days in July on a scout canoe/wilderness trip. DD goes to camp for a week at the end of July.

Ann, where in Canada would your ds be coming?

We've been kicking ideas around for a month or so, and if you can believe it, have even fought about it, lol. I think we are now going to tour the eastern states, i.e. start off in New Hampshire via Montreal/Quebec. Tour down to the southern part of the state and come up through Vermont to the northern part of that state. Then over in NY to Lake George. After that we are thinking of either heading over to Hershey, PA or coming straight home. We've been to these states before (except PA) and have always enjoyed ourselves. This time we'll have more time to explore though.

We never make solid plans but try to do some day trips. I was thinking about buying a tent but I don't know, not a fan of it. I know the kids would love it.
I wouldn't mind taking the kids to Marine Land/Niagara Falls for a few days.
I wanted to drive out west to spend a few weeks at my parents but it would be a long drive by myself. I was kind of hoping to talk dh into driving with me and flying home and back to drive home again.Doesn't seem all that enthused. lol
If it wasn't for needing a new van right before Christmas, I would be cottage shopping again.

We are going to Florida, an Indiana waterpark, an Ohio theme park, camping...and when I can figure out what my plans are for Brichard and my anniversary I'll let ya know!

I'd love to take a long trek out west, but not until the kids are a couple years older.
