    Thursday

I'm up, have been for a while. Dh was kind enough to sleep in the tent so I could stay inside with ds3 who zonked out before the kids went back outside. They came in for a movie. The 3 oldest were neatly set up in the top of the playhouse. They were very happy that no one else could make it, they seemed to be content with themselves.
The other 7 were in and out for a while and kept letting mosquitos in and then complain. Um, how about stay in and keep the door closed? lol The mosquitos were pretty bad last night, I don't think I have ever seen them so bad. They killed them all last night and finally settled down.
I'm about to make breakfast for them. I have a couple until 1:30 and most are leaving at 10:30. Have to get groceries later since tomorrow is a holiday.
Hope you have a nice day

Morning. Dd and I have the same sore throat this morning. I felt mine coming on yesterday. Dh says maybe we should stay home from the beach, but I figure I can at least fell miserable in the sun down there. LOL

Mel, glad the party was a success!! I just read that Bounce dryer sheets take care of mosquitos - tuck one in your pocket or tie one on your belt loop.

Ya'll have a very good 4th of July! I'll see ya when we get back.
Edited to add: Happy Canada Day too!!

Glad your sleep-over was a success, Mel.
Jen, hope you have a good, healthy weekend.

Mel, we need groceries too, but they're going to have to wait until Saturday since I'm too busy today, lol, and tomorrow is Canada Day!

Today I'm working, taking ds to guitar then meeting my girlfriend for a movie. Has had great reviews, especially from a co-worker.

Good morning! Some rough storms rolled thru MN last night. I was at WalMArt when the sirens went off here, but the worst of it went all around us. Oldest ds had a sleep over and the boys didn't seem to care about the weather - asked a few questions, but I calmed any nerves with my magic touch. Boys are all at bball camp this morning and I will be heading out shortly to pick them up since dh has a dentist app't when he is done. Home to bake cookies with dks and then the boys have dentist app'ts this afternoon that dh is taking them to. I'm hoping to get outside for a bit...or sneak in a nap.

Las work day of the week for me! My new little girl is doing good. I just have her and a 3 yr old today. I should be getting inspected since it's the last day of the month ans she hasn't done it yet. I wanted to take the kids to the park this morning, but I guess that won't be happening now since I should stick around the house so that I'll be here when she shows up.

Jen-have a fun weekend! Hope you and dd are feeling better soon.
Karla-it's great to see you posting again.
Vea- any news on that preschool job you posted about?
Mel-glad you survived all those boys.
    Bev-have fun tonight.

We slept in today until 8:22!! That's when my dn knocked at the door ready for a day of fun! lol I love having Brichard home, I've missed him so much this year, still hard to get used to him working so much.

I'm going to the dentist today. Ds is going to the chiropractor. It is supposed to storm, storm, storm and I say BRING IT ON!! We need the rain so much. It has been blasted hot and we aren't allowed to water our lawns. It is also supposed to cool things off for the weekend. whew!

I need help for some fun anniversary trips/surprises, any ideas for me as it is my year to plan?!

We have tornado sirens. They test them every Friday at 11:00 unless it is bad weather. They are hard to hear if the wind is kicking up everywhere. I like having them because when the power goes out you know when to duck and cover!

Just for tornadoes....we can't hear them at our house, but they were blaring at WalMart. Used to have a friend who would call me when they went off to let us know bcuz if it's windy/stormy our tv (satellite) goes out.

Is it annoying when they test them every week? They test ours the 1st Wednesday of every month at 1.

Try living on a military base. Everday week day at noon the "giant voice" goes off. It's just a test. Then in the summer when it's hot, the loud voice tells us just how hot it is and what precautions to take (it's something for the military members who are working out in the heat). It goes off during excersizes and sometimes just to tell base personal something- like one day when the phone lines were down. We have speakers all over base housing and the problem is for the most part you can't understand what they are saying because they echo so bad. I freaked out though at first when I heard the tornado warning a few weeks ago. I'd never heard that sound before. Dh called me to let me know what was going on.
