Angry I'm boxing up the kid's stuff!

Dh and I went out to dinner and a movie last night and the kids trashed the house while we were gone. It was the straw that broke the camel's back. When they got up this morning I made them clean up and told them that the box was coming back. Whenever their things are thrown around the house I'll pick them up and put them in a box. They'll have to do a chore to get anything back. Hopefully it won't take them long to become more careful!

Since we were just talking about stuff like this I thought I'd post. I'll update when they've all become neat freaks!
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

I am so close to doing the same. My kids did do a great job of cleaning/chores today. I think we just have too much stuff for them to handle. Arg!

Good luck, them us know how it goes!

You know when I lived at my friends house they had a similar problem...they girls would leave everything all over and they had cats that like to eat stuff. (When they first git the cats they had to have one get an $800 operation because it at a ribbon).
Any way the father got annoyed one day and had the girls through it all in trash bags and he said he was throwing it all away. And there was alot of tears but they did it and he put it all in the basement so they did not know it was there. I think they learned their lesson.
    Enjoy Today

Good luck. We have the same problem. Too much stuff for them to handle. A lot did get boxed up but we could still get rid of more. I'm in the process of trying to do the same with our stuff, too much junk over the years.
