    Fabulous face mask recipe

Okay, this stuff is really great! My mom found the recipe in one of those health mailers she gets once in a while advertising stuff. She decided to try it and declared that her skin felt 20 years younger! Dds and I tried it and loved it, but the miraculous part comes in how it helped 14yo dd's acne. She has it pretty bad across her forehead and you can see the many dark spots from previous break outs as well. She used it once and not only did it almost completely wipe out the acne she had but it also lightened the spots from previous break outs.

Anyway! I went out and bought the ingredients for it. The most expensive item was the facial clay and that was $5.00. (It makes quite a bit, too) Here's the recipe in case you're still interested after reading my rambling! I found all ingredients at the health food store.

1 cup oatmeal, ground to a powder
1/2 cup dried lavender, ground to a powder
1/2 cup almonds, ground to a powder
    1/3 cup powdered kelp
    1 1/2 cup facial clay

Combine all ingredients and store in airtight jar (I used an old mayo jar). To make the mask scoop out approx. 1/8 cup of the powder (I used less) and add enough likewarm water to make a paste. Dab the paste over forehead, cheeks, nose and chin, avoiding eye and lip areas. Leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with towel.
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

Sounds interesting. I might just have to hit the health food store!

Is the facial clay a powder or a paste? Sounds interesting. Thanks.

Sounds great. I should copy this recipe for my sister. Her ds has had a lot of acne and is having problems finding something that works. Thanks!

Well sitting here with the mask on my face. Forgot to right down the amounts when I wrote down the ingredients, so the proportions are off and I didn't put in the ground almonds so this should be interesting! LOL
Gonna color my hair after I rinse this stuff off.
