Have to run to the grocery store and drug store today at some point. We have a lot of fluffy white stuff on the ground and expecting more and accidents all over the city. People are so stupid. It's the same crap that came down for months last year and now they can't drive in it?
Had to dig out snowpants this am from the crawlspace. lol Oh well, kids are happy.
Happy Birthday to your ds Bev.
Hope you all have a good day

Happy birthday to your ds, Bev!

Dd2 has a sore throat, Ds2 has croup, ds1 is sneezing again, and dh is still fighting the same thing he was a month ago. Anyone have a spare bedroom I could hole up in until spring??? Hopefully they won't share their germs at the get-together today, but there's no way the grandparents would let me keep the kids home. (which is understandable, I guess)

I actually got the sweet potatoes, green beans, deviled eggs and brownies pre-prepped yesterday! Woo hoo! So it's just the finishing touches this morning. Beats all heck out of trying to do it all today, lol. Dinner will probably be around 1:00 or so and Mom seems less stressed this year, so that'll be good!

Hope you all have a great day!
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

Chilly day here, too - but I stayed inside and ate, slept and hung out with my family so I can't complain. Oldest ds was up with the flu in the middle of the night, but I dragged him to my mom's anyway - insert bad mom smilie here. He rested for a while, but actually got up and ate with us and was fine - very weird!! Glad we didn't stay home.

Happy Birthday to your ds, Bev!!

Karla, Dd1 used to get what I called 'holiday flu'.....birthday, Christmas, vacation, anything really great! She'd get so excited about stuff that she'd throw up. (Because I'm a bit slow sometimes, it took a while to recognize. ) Glad your ds bounced back.
Dh's parents came over for dinner and it was a nice relaxed afternoon/early evening. We've been 'kid-less' since Wed. It's been fun-quiet and low stress! They'll all be back tonight though. I can't wait to see dd1!
