What time is dinner time at your house?

When we lived in NJ we always ate late...then we had children...started eating earlier....

when we lived in Upstate NY we ate around 6:00 PM

Now it usully around 6:00 to 6:30.

just wondering when you all eat....

when I was growing up it was always dinner at 5:00 PM

Dh is able to leave work between 4:00/15... so is home early. Seeing I'm home, I'm able to make dinner so it's ready by the time dh gets home. I like eating and getting the dishes done early so we can sit down and enjoy the rest of our evening.

It vary's..Depends on a number of things, if I am working or not, what time I am working. When Dh gets home and the DS#1's Tae Kwon Doe falls in too...

Most times it is around 5:30/6:00. When I work a shift that starts at 5 or earlier DH cooks for the kids and then they eat at about 6:30

    Kinda crazy...

I don't even get home until 6-6:30. Dh rarely beats me home either. At 5:00 there is not a strong likelihood of ANYone being home. We've been eating around 7 on good days.....but it's been almost 8 a few times lately.

I like to have the kids dinner ready when they get home from school at 4. The problem is that they are usually hungry again about 8, lol. We don't have any set time. On Brichard's days off the kids will just have a snack after lunch and we'll eat about 6.

Right now it's usually round 7 or 7:30 .Thankfully dh has taken over making supper during the week.
During the summer months it will probably be closer to 8 since dh will be working later than I will. When dh worked on the farm I would feed the kids around 6 and dh wouldn't be home to eat until 8 or 9. When fertilizer season starts he'll probably be keeping those kinds of hours again.

We try to do quicker meals like spaghetti, goulash, burgers, etc. that we can get made in about a half hour. On the weekends when I cook we have bigger meals like fried chicken, potatoes, gravy, corn, rolls.
Speaking of which I need to get the burgers grilled for dinner.
Wouldn't it be nice if every time we messed up our life we could press CTRL ALT DEL and start all over??

I usually like to eat around 5:30, but it doesn't always happen. It's rare that it's past 6:30 and the kids are complaining loudly if it gets close to 7:00!
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.
