Or I should say "on THE board"!

I don't have preschoolers anymore at my house (my firstborn just left me for college yesterday ), but I do teach K-5 g/t kids, with K being a new addition this year, so I'm anxious to get/share ideas that work with the "little guys".

I actually majored in Early Childhood Ed, but have since "graduated" to bigger kids! I miss the little bitty guys, but the paycheck just wasn't the same, unfortunately!

Anyway, thanks for having this place, and I'm looking forward to giving and getting some great ideas!!!

We have a few teachers here that you'll be able to swap notes with.
You teach K - 5.....??? Do you move from class to class or are they all combined? Quite the age difference.

I have my BA. in Early Childhood. I would have liked to go further, but family came along and decided I would rather be with them. dh has a great job so $ wasn't a big issue. It would have cost more for child care than I would make so just stayed home with them. My oldest starts high school this year. ds is going into gr. 5. My two girls are going to Senior Kindergarten, and still have my nephew ( 22mon.) and dd (15mon.) home with me.

I'm a teachers assistant in a 3-6 year old afternoon enrichment at a Montessorri school. I love it.

Been doing Daycare fore year...totally understand about the money....But your gonna enjoy the little ones again.

I teach 4-year old Kindergarten AND 5-year old Kindergarten, as well as being the mom to two wonderful boys (aged 12 and 10).

I do have K-5, but I pull them out of their classrooms at different times, so they're all with their own age group. It's lots of fun!
